In Columbus Ohio I visited a historic loft building thay has been converted into condos. I thought the building and the condos are quite nice, they rent for $1300 per month for studios.
I believe that one can travel as a minimalist, Cheap Charlie style and have a great time. For those of us who love to travel, the joy of it is the new experiences, exploring new places, meeting new people, experiencing difference cultures. To do these things a lot of money is not required, in fact by spending a lot there is the real possibility that money can get in the way of these things. I keep my backpacking ultralight, bringing as few things as possible so I can also explore and move around as much as possible. I do a lot of walking on my travels.

Great idea showing us Apts in Colombus. I was wondering if you would do this or not. Takes you back to your roots of showing places. Next time you pass thru one of those really small Ohio towns just for the heck of it show us a really cheap Rental and a medium to hi Rental and what you get for the money in a small Ohio town. I love that place you showed here in Colombus for $1300

It's not furnished though. You will need to pay for electricity and probably Internet. Water and garbage collection should be covered.

43,333 bhat a month for the small one. Compared to Bangkok ? "It used to be an old women's shoe factory". There are two possible meanings here . A factory where old women make shoes , or a factory making shoes for old women.

For what i might pay for a bottle of water at 7/11 in Thailand, which I've seen for as low as 7 Baht, it'd be like me going home expecting the same thing.. Where, in fact, I'd be paying 300 baht... You can't expect the same thing, especially Thailand vs American... You are dreaming.

Say for under $500 a month , now he is looking at cheap american apartments for $1500 a month. What I am saying is ,I can afford to live in Thailand , but I can't afford to live in America, AND Cheap Charlie can't either. 7 baht for water , awesome .

I think you have to pay for utilities normally. I’m not sure if parking is included or not, I think it might have been a $50 a month fee if I remember correctly.

Hard to earn an income in Thailand unless you are retired or a digital nomad. Columbus a person can potentially earn good money, Phuket not really.

@@jayrivergutz6244 Well, you don't really need to buy bottled water is most US states. Tap water is good to good. Housing is very expensive in the US but average wage is also much higher than Thailand. Most foreigners won't be able to get a job in Thailand.

@@streetcar6080 I'm fully aware of that, but you missed my entire point and the bottle water is just an example, but people do buy bottled water, regardless of the quality in America. Point is, you can't expect Thai prices, such as rentals in a country like America or Australia.... People are going on saying "oh but you can a condo for half that in Pattaya" Well, goto Pattaya then, but like I said earlier, which is what Charlie mentioned, you need an income to sustain living there.

You probably know this but I took Lost LeBlancs course on content creation and trick with KZfaq. The (min) length on videos for more adds and add revenue is 8 minutes. I believe it's because they will put a ad in the halfway point of the video as well as beginning. So more revenue.

@@carlkenyon4599 yes he charge... I took it in 2000 but he updates it on a regular basis. It's really great information and then you are in his private group. I chatted with him a couple times and when I get back to Bali...hopefully meet up.
