Combining AFP laminates with a 3D-printed core structure opens up a wide range of possibilities. In addition to the realisation of complex geometries with local, load-optimised stiffeners, multifunctional components can also be produced efficiently through the use of functional thermoplastics. Here, the printed core consists of short carbon fiber-reinforced PEEK and is joined in-situ with CF-LM-PAEK tapes.
