Does cascading the hubs also extend the range, or does it simply allow for 16 users to communicate? We need two hubs in separate buildings and I was hoping to cascade these through ethernet/fiber so we can extend the range and act as a remote antenna.

For those two areas where the hubs are placed it does extend those areas. In fact, it’s recommended that if you are using two hubs in order to extend from 8 to 16 headsets that they NOT be placed next to one another as they are less effective trans/rec that way. Adding appropriate distance between the hubs improves their performance so that they do not step in on another’s signals. In your case when connected via Ethernet in order to cover an area the size of a 100yard football field, you might place each hub 25yards in from each goal posts, therefor leaving 50 yards between hubs. - O - - O - Although at over 200 yards coverage from center you could technically place one at teach goal, 100 yards apart just the same. Keeping in mind their coverage area is 1300 feet (400meter) radius. So from hub center you’ll have 650 feet signal out all direction, or 200 meters from center out. That’s LOS (line of sight) so obstacles will effect these distance numbers. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response, I also would like to know: 1. does connecting hubs just allow the 16 packs to talk to each other 2. can I take on belt pack and walk from hub 1 are to hub 2 coverage area. Can packs roam between both hubs? Thanks again

Can you connect them together with a network switch between them?

It’s a very good question, not when I’ve tried however so I can’t say it would work nor can I say it wouldn’t. My hunches is probably better just to straight connect them.

What firmware version are you using?

I was using the current at the time of recording this, but from my understanding any of the current firmware’s should work, exactly the same
