Have you ever wondered how SuperDuos are made? What about Crescents or other 2-hole glass beads? Come with me inside Czech glass bead factories to learn about the fascinating origins of some of our favourite glass beads.
I'll show you how these beads are transformed from rods of glass, heated, shaped, tumbled and polished. Many of the factories are family-owned businesses and still use traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations.
The Liberec region of Czech Republic is a UNESCO heritage site, known for its glass production that has been happening here for hundreds of years, thanks to the country's natural resources.
Many thanks to Matubo, Rutkovsky, GB Beads and Bead Game for letting me film in their factories and for sharing the process with me. And to Jon Kubricht and Jill Wiseman for inviting me to join them on a Czech Bead adventure. You can read more about my travels over on my blog.
