CHRIS KREIDER OH MY GOD. THE NEW YORK RANGERS COMEBACK IN THE 3RD! I CANT BELIEVE IT!!!
Chris Kreider scored a natural hat trick in the third period, and the New York Rangers rallied from two goals down to eliminate the Carolina Hurricanes with a 5-3 win in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Second Round at PNC Arena on Thursday.
New York advanced to the conference final, where it will face either the Boston Bruins or Florida Panthers. The Panthers lead that best-of-7 series 3-2 entering Game 6 at Boston on Friday.

Calm down. That was the Eastern Conference Final in '94, not the 2nd round and the Rangers were down 3-2 on the road to the Devils. Plus Messier scored that HT again hall of famer Martin Brodeur. I don't remember Kreider guaranteeing a win either lol. Great performance by Kreider, but not even close to the same thing. 😂

If he wins a cup he might go down as the best ranger of all time. Has most playoff goals of all time just needs the cup and this helps cement it along the way go rangers

Canes fan here. Ggs, as much as it hurts to say, the clear better team won. I really want to hate the Rangers but Kreider gained a ton of respect after giving that stick away postgame. Go destroy the Panthers/Bruins and get your Cup

Everyone is talking about kreider but Igor made so many game saving saves when they were down. Igor kept them in the game to give kreider the chance to start with. Regardless it was an insane game. Though rangers were done in the series at the start of third. Igor kept them in it then kreider willed his way in the end.

I was in my yard breaking things with a bat. My daughter yells out the window “Kreider just made it 3-2!” The rest is history. I was at Game 6 in 94 and this performance puts Kreider on a “Mess level” with me. That scaredy cat 10 better find himself in the ECF. Somebody send him a shaver and some cream. LGR!

This will NEVER be forgotten. No matter what happens after this. Chris Kreider and Igor put the entire roster on their back in the 3rd. They refused to be beaten. The Canes arguably were the best team in the league. I still believe if the Canes won this series they would be Cup champs.

Now that's how you play a 3rd period. The team did have me worried a bit, but we responded exactly how we needed to. Resilience has been our story all season, and once again we showed that tonight. Kreider knows how to lead, he's been a blueshirt for over a decade. His name will be in the rafters, such a great performance by him tonight. The ECF will be even harder to win, but I believe we have what it takes regardless. On to the next round, LGR!!!
