the KQ raise was really nice. against opponents like that who vary their bet sizes based off hand strength, you can often raise top pair good kicker for value in spots like that. you will effectively never get 3b as a bluff in those situations, so it becomes a pretty easy raise/fold in my opinion. against a decent reg of course that has more of a balanced betting range, something like that is not often possible. I think the last Q9 hand is a pretty easy river fold, especially with backdoor clubs completing. if they had some combo draw turned with backdoor flush that comes in, it gets there. what hands are you beating there as a bluff? 78s/78o with a club? I also think that an A can bet there a fair amount of time for value, so they are not just repping fh or flushes, since a river x/r will be rare and likely underbluffed, given the action. the smaller turn raise also screams value to me, I feel like bluffs would go bigger $120-150ish.

I figured he only had boats for whatever reason, but yeah could probably just fold the turn there, something felt off though with the dynamic of the other player in the hand

Hey Sam, good job! Just curious why you keep playing at the Wynn? There are probably better games in Vegas? And my friend said the Bay 101 games are super good, is that true? Thanks!
@BluffaloSam
@BluffaloSam 8 ай бұрын
Bay 101 was alright, but I was only there for 1 night. It was weird, if you table change, you have to take any chips over the max off the table. Wynn has the most deep stack 2/5 action in all of Vegas, and it's not even close. You do face tougher competition though.

12:00 I think betting $350 into $600 is fine. Their calling ranges are probably calling $350 roughly as often as they are $200.

Idk, I thought I played it poorly, I didn't think about what hands they could have there, and what hands I want to continue, I really think an exploitative 1/3rd there is just printing.

I have to say some ppl just size differently from what the charts might suggest, I disagree with just automatically discounting AA and KK just bc someone sizes large. I see a lot of ppl make sizing mistakes but I still see a lot of them make those mistakes with their entire range, AA included
@BluffaloSam
@BluffaloSam 8 ай бұрын
My biggest reads vs recs are bet sizing tells, some times I'm wrong, but they've made my decisions really easy before just with pattern recognition.
@richardsimmonsjuggernautof9781
@richardsimmonsjuggernautof9781 8 ай бұрын
@@BluffaloSam oh for sure me as well. Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought you mentioned a hand vs a euro reg who 4 bet you, and you said you discounted AA bc he sized so big. A lot of regs won’t use proper sizing, but any halfway decent reg is going to at least size the same way regardless of their hand. Also everyone is different, ages and ages ago when I was fairly new to live poker, I used to battle a lot with one of the only good regs in the underground game I played in. He noticed that I actually did the opposite, I would size down when I was 3 betting/4 betting light and would size up when I had a value hand. Probably bc I subconsciously wanted to get away with a bluff for cheaper and get more money in the pot when I had it. Fortunately he pointed this out to me and quickly rectified it, but anyway my point is it shouldn’t be an automatic that someone can’t have a certain hand bc they sized a specific way unless you’ve seen enough of a sample size on that player to back up your assertion, not doubting your reads at all, I agree that bet sizing tells can be very valuable.

Love the vids, love the commentary and respect the game. You gotta tip more than $2 on $945 pot my friend. It’s unwritten etiquette, watch Brad Own who would at least tip a nickel maybe even a quarter in that spot. As someone senior in the industry, highly recommend going higher.

@@BluffaloSam Trust me, it’s not. Not pressuring you by any means, but having the dealer root for you is a powerful thing. Having said that, there are people who give nothing and the dealers definitely don’t want that player to win. Anyhow, keep up the vids Sam, doing a great job!
