@@Buckets50 Meaning there isn't much family and/or societal structure left. Legalizing gay marriage was necessary, but everything that has come after is ridiculous. It's not enough anymore to just be tolerant of other peoples lifestyles. Each generation has to take the reins at some point and keep all this moving forward, but no one wants to do so anymore. Each generation has progressively gotten a bit more entitled, careless and weak. It appears that more and more we focus on what's wrong as opposed to how to solve the problems. That's what I'm talking about.

People will always complain it’s part of human nature. As life gets easier to live the complaints get more ridiculous. You’re correlating gay marriage into this when its more a symptom of American life’s simplicity than the cause of entitlement.

Bill Donohue, like most easily outraged religious spokespeople, rarely views 'offensive content' before getting on his high horse. The best example I've seen is the furore over The Life of Brian. Some trinket twirling cleric from the C of E and gullible ex-atheist Malcolm Muggeridge taking John Cleese and Michael Palin to task over a film they hadn't seen in full. Donohue always jumps based on the outrage of others. The truth of it is that Larry does nothing gratuitous.

The start cracks me up with the arguing over whether Larry David is making fun of Jews. Larry David is literally a Jewish comedy archetype. Actually he vacillates between like three of them; a schlemiel, a schnorrer, and a schmendrick. And of course he can often be the schmuck. It's hilarious to argue over, because Larry David is the literal embodiment of goofing on his own people. It's what the show itself is.

holy rage-burgers, I cannot stand people like Donohue. Constantly sticking their nose in issues for the sake of society. We can handle it without his 'help'. And no matter how much he monopolizes a conversation, his analogies aren't convincing at all. Example: Mother/Father's day - gay couples would celebrate 2 times on either day. Does he think because there is no male if a couple is lesbian the child is affected? Any more than a child whose Father/Mother is unknown or abandoned them? Divorced? Jail? Dead? On drugs? Stability and a loving environment is better than any of those possibilities. And they'll grow up without all the discriminatory and close-minded viewpoints peopole like Donohue have

The hypocrisy is that bill was upset about what was obviously a joke and labeled it as blasphemy yet in the same vein made a black joke and argued that his cause was noble and above other causes yet likened his distaste of the joke to that of AL Sharpton.
