There’s a lesson to be learned from Chris. If someone does something to you; you determine when, where, and how you respond. He gave himself enough time to process, collect his thoughts, contained his emotions, and articulate his reaction in the most masterful way. He understood the assignment on how to conduct himself in front of a global audience. Unknown to WS; Chris saved both of them, their respective families, and their community the embarrassment by not allowing things to escalate.

I watched the special, the other day. It was really good. Chris Rock handled himself and the situation perfectly. He was still funny and entertaining, it's his job: he is a comedian. And I liked the end. I could see Chris Rock really let out his anger at the end. I am glad Chris Rock got a chance to let it out. It is good for Chris Rock mentally. As far as Will Smith and Jada Pinkett are concerned, they need to put their big girl and big boy underpants on and deal with it. Chris Rock was silent for a year. He deserved his 7 minutes dedicated to his response, and his thoughts on being slapped in the face on on stage of the internationally televised Oscars. And Selective Outrage was exactly right. If Will Smith was smart, he would skip the playing the victim, playing hurt or embarrassed, and forget about Jada, let Jada speak for herself if she has something to say about Chris' Netflix comments. Will Smith should have just said, I didn't watch the special, but whatever he said I deserved it after what I did.

The really interesting thing about this comedy special is that Chris Rock STILL went easy on Will Smith. Rock used the platform more as a means of catharsis when he could have really ripped into them. Fir Chris, it wasn't really about getting revenge but more about how he genuinely felt. It goes to show the class and maturity of the man because had he wanted to, he could have destroyed the entire Smith household very easily.

I have never heard Chris perform. Only Tony and he’s super funny. Also, never had a Netflix account until this moment. Chris Rock’s performance was Exceptionally funny. Rock was strategic with his “CLAP BACK” by airing it out on stage in Baltimore Maryland. He got paid handsomely for a few hours of his talent. I pray that this gives Chris closure after holding all of the feelings in for over a year. Blessings to Chris Rock and his Family.❤🙏🏾

I was honestly SO flippin impressed with how Chris handled every single thing about the smack, since the smack! Seriously! I think ANYONE else probably would’ve started screaming obscenities like crazy at him, or, just jumped onto him from the stage and started hitting. But it was insanely impressive how Chris just kept his composure and never stopped smiling. In Will’s life, he uses fighting sometimes at work. For work, Chis writes good jokes in a true story and gets so much appreciative laughter. It may have been a year, but that’s how he very maturely handled it. If Will and Jada were at all surprised by his response…. I guess I’d just be incredibly surprised! While probably no one asks Will about the Oscars incident because they’re too scared to set off the obviously enraged Will, but I’m SURE Chris gets asked about it non-stop. So sure, Will and Jada have been able to just glide right through it. That act Chris performed was just his way of hitting Will Jack
