A better solution for the Terrigen Mist attack would have been for Magneto to simply blow it away by spinning metal pieces like fans behind himself, followed by a line of how an attempt to _gas_ him of all people would piss him off - if there was any capacity left to hate Nimrod more than he already does.

The end of the krokoan age is so depressing. I feel like its a change no one wanted, reverting back to a very tried status quo, and isnt even going out with a proper event/send off.

Not gonna lie, they should have just replaced Fei Long with Bastion because their motives and methods are nearly identical but Bastion is getting all the exposure now. Plus they're both pink middle aged dudes with white hair.

Bastion wouldn't serve Nimod and is too focused on hunting mutants to mess with Tony. Fei long and Bastion's goals are too different from each other.

@@kappadarwin9476 Recasting characters would naturally mean reworking nuances of the plot. For starters the whole Nimrod lazy Sentinal City subplot would be scrubbed because its just an execuse for battle scene filler anyway and adds nothing to the overarcing plot. Sabastion is a classical mastermind arctype so having him buying out Stark industries and repurpose it to serve an organisatin like Orchis fits with his MO. As it stands though, you can tell the writer doesn't know how to end this story arc which is why you've had it needlessly drag on beyond Orchis being defeated.

Yeah fr. Like metal doesn't fold cuz it hits a harder metal. Wolverine would have to place the force necessary behind that hit. It's just a lack of basic science for a "cool" moment. Lazy writing degrading their own lore for a cheap "shocking" moment.

I mean, innovation and discovery is a thing, though. So, while adamantium was very much the strongest metal for a very long time, it doesn't mean that something can't come along and knock it out of the top spot. In fact, it makes sense that something eventually would do that. To me, at least. That being said, I can see why someone would potentially call it lazy writing 😅

Marvel writers should learn about Magneto before writing him. Magneto can manipulate MATTER (not just metal) at the subatomic level. Electromagnetism basically holds atoms together.... So it doesn't matter if Iron Man's suit is made of plastic, or what Nimrod is made out of....... still atoms.... and they can be manipulated.

If they let magneto be as strong as his powers suggest, he'd unironically occupy a seat as a perpetual top tier among non-deities and regular entities for the exact reason you mentioned. You can literally distort the shape of an atom using a sufficiently powerful magnetic field in theory because stellar bodies are terrifying. He'd be controlling the side effect/consequence of one of the 4 fundamental forces, but we straight up just coud not let him get away with that (or, if we did, could consequently stunt his intelligence, ol' reliable)

@@marcuswebb9434That's the thing, Magneto does have all that power, and belongs in that top tier. The way good writers balance it out is with the toll it takes on his mind & body. He can put together a Celestial and act as it's nervous system, but it took everything out of him. Same reason he lost to Uranos. Magneto has the powers to kill him, but it would take time & concentration, which he doesn't have.

So Mysterium can damage adamantium, but Nimrod can damage Mysterium. But ive never seen nimrod damage adamantium. Unless not all of the sentinel buster was mysterium. I could also be missing something. I was only half paying attention.

Tony didn’t really need the sentinel buster. It was a lot of work for no reason. His normal smaller mysterium armor suit is basically invincible. He could just speed blitz the sentinel armors and then fly into their arc reactors and come out unscathed.

Rob, with due all respect, allow me to do some corrections: 1. The comicbook story relevant to the current events is "Resurrection of Magneto", not "The Trial of Magneto" 2. Feilong was birthed to mutant parents, but he's a mutate himself, not a mutant. If I remember correctly, he experimented on himself to gain his powers. 3. Although Tony and Emma did not start like an actual couple, I think they have started having feelings for each other (I'd love to see them staying together after the Krakoan Era, however that seems unlikely)

Hey Rob, quick question for ya I honestly don’t remember if Avengers Twlight was in an alternate universe or the main marvel universe, but if it’s the main marvel universe. Do you think we will see H-day between Fall of X and what they are doing for Venom and Carnage right now? If it is an alternate universe, then where are the X-Men?? I thought mutants were supposed to outnumber people in futures, and since it’s not a “days of futures past” event they should be thriving.

Also dargonite and hulk skin*(in some issue) are resistent to adamantium btw we see thor use mijolnir a cilinder of adamantium and dent it so are kinda inconsistente and also wolverine adamantium are beta adamantium

Good point about Gary Duggan's weak prose and dialogue. He can craft decent scenes but subtext and dialogue are not his strengths. His journeyman style works for non epic stories though.
