What can a Mexican miss from Mexico while being away?
In this video, I return to my mother's home. I'm happy that after being away for 5 months, I came back to see my family, enjoy tacos and eat a lot of tasty salsas.
I will be telling you everything about the trip in Ecuador and Colombia in my next video.
I would love to tell you too that, I'm embarking on a new language-learning journey. This is to remind me of the challenges and rewards that come with acquiring a new language.
Curious about my secret weapon? It's Lingopie, the language learning platform that makes studying as much fun the courses I teach too!.
Link here and get a 7-day FREE trial:

🇲🇽 But of course, try my courses too as you converse in Spanish the whole class!! 🇲🇽 Check the link out:

I'm just about to come back to Mexico for my brother's weading next march. I've been away 6 years living in Ireland as my partner is Irish. I'm taking my 5 yo irish/mexican daughter for the first time to meet her mexican family. I'm from Pachuca Hidalgo myself and I can't wait to be there now.

Hola Ruby. It's wonderful to see you back. I've missed your videos, but everyone deserves an occasional vacation to avoid burning out. Hidalgo is one of my favorite states, with so much to see. At my age and because of arthritis I doubt I'll ever return to Mexico, but I'm learning Spanish again by reading my copy of "Catalogo de Construcciones Religiosos del Estado de Hidalgo", a two volume, 1300 page plus 400 pages of photos survey of the 800 churches of Hidalgo circa 1930. There is another KZfaq video creator who lives near Pachuca. He films in many areas of Mexico but specializes in the small towns of Hidalgo. The catalog is hard to find and expensive (the last copy I saw was $400 USD unbound) and I don't think Alberto can afford his own copy, so I'm learning to read my copy and forwarding relevant information to him. We both like old churches. The authors used a lot of specialized words unlikely to occur in everyday conversation. I'm enjoying the experience, almost as much as I've enjoyed seeing you back in Hidalgo, Any chance you will film the story of your ancestor;s coffee finca this year?
