Oh wow! The way you came out to your brother is a lot like the way I came out to my family. I didn’t want to just say “I’m gay” cause it kinda felt attention seeking to me. I tried to make it personal and sincere and I came out to my family one at a time. Separately. Also your brothers reaction was a lot like my moms. She didn’t have any questions, and I had to ask her if she had any, which felt kinda weird. But if I’m being honest I’m so relieved I didn’t get any backlash from coming out, and I’m super glad it went well for you too. Well, I guess I’m not really 100% out yet. My aunts and uncles don’t know, and neither do my grandparents or cousins or anything like that. Just my mom, dad, sister, and two close friends. I don’t want any other friends I have to know. Word would probably get out. I’m only 14, and going to high school next year. I don’t want to deal with bullying a second time in my life. A lot of people in my grade have almost no empathy and can be complete jerks. After high school though, I’ll be free. ☺️ Thanks for making this video. It made me feel really good and happy for you.

OMG...I wish I would've had your guts (bravery) way back when! I'm still tightly shut in the closet...Well, considering those times, (I'm 70 years old now) it was impossible to even hint getting out. It was totally taboo to talk or even think about anything below the belly-button! I had no one to open up to...and still don't. My dad died when I was just 10...and I had no idea about anything sex (literally), I finally found out during my Senior year in High School...It's a long story.
