The passage that "forbids" homosexuality is found in leviticus, which is the old testimate. Which any Christian today will tell you that Christians no longer follow the old testimate because Jesus died on the cross which in turn brought in the New Testimate. So for your mom to tell you that homosexuality is wrong and she'll pray for you and all that trash, simply tell her that what she's doing is spitting in the face of Jesus and saying his sacrifice meant nothing and he was wrong, and if she knows more than Jesus does, why does she pray to his father?
