As a landfall player. How to take the deck out. Land destruction early before i have the mana for an explosive turn. Landfall is often a tempo based strategy, stop my momentum, stop me. There is also remove the value peices. And hold some mana to cpunter my heroic intervention, or cast a better removal on the stack. Those are the things i have the build my deck around. Graveyard hate might also be a good idea. Then there are stax peices. The most brutal being Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines.

I play Hazezon,shaper of sands and you got it dead on. The cards that ramp, allow extra land drops, hand,battlefield, graveyard loops and big draw are the cards to target with counters and removal. Commander poo-pooing on countering ramp and destroying lands is what makes landfall so strong. Everyone is scared to do anything about it 😅 I usually open my games with, feel free to pop my lands/ramp, I plan to deserve it 😆
