This is the new Alice in Wonderland doll by Mattel! Its release is part of the Disney 100 celebration.
There has been some controversy around this doll and the price, and I talk about that in this video.

As a child, i was obsessed with Alice in Wonderland and i wanted so badly to get to Wonderland. It was my favorite Disney film, second only to Pinocchio at the time. Even now, as an adult, there is a small part of myself that believes that i will someday find the rabbit hole/portal/wormhole that will lead me to a type of wonderland.

Right? I think a lot of people think the $100 is for the doll alone, but they have to remember that it is also for the box, the display, the stand, and all the accessories as well.

I got mine yesterday! I can’t stop looking at her. I’ve never seen an Alice doll out there I liked until this one, so had to have her. After Ariel, Alice is my favorite. I remember that TV movie, my dad had it recorded for my older sister. I rewatched it here on KZfaq recently. Lol

I love this doll and most definitely got her. She is so adorable. I love the concept. I would have preferred her to be more like $75 but I'm still happy with her and have no regrets.

If you put her back into display, without putting back into the box, display it on top of original packaging you can kinda rock both looks at same time.shes beautiful

I feel like taller Alice would be perfect for an ILY clothes, and she can pass as a teenager, like most Disney Princess.

i love her i think she looks really pretty and there are so many differences between the baseline doll and this one and at the end of the day no one is making anyone buy the doll if they dont like her but i think shes pretty x

I love Alice In Wonderland. But I never saw the movie you mentioned. I want to see it now. As a child I saw the Disney original cartoon at the Movie theater. I'm much older. I have loved the movie ever since I was a young child.

I do believe she is worth the price of the doll, the artwork alone and the outside the box thinking on the accessories, which had to be approved by Disney Licencing of course, makes her worth it. But I personally find her price beyond my budget though I am a huge fan of Disney Alice and had a lot of original Disney Alice items as a child in the 60s, that got lost in various cross continent moves. I had a big book collection of all the Alice stories that was well worn.

I think she is stunning and totally worth the money with all that she comes with and the beautiful box but agree with you totally it’s what the doll is worth to you individually but definitely one I will be getting. Thanks for sharing ⭐❤🥰

Great review Chad! I really loved the how this Alice compares to others in your collection. Like you, I’m wishing her wrists were articulated. And I’m disappointed that she wasn’t given white stockings or at least socks. But after seeing all details in both the doll & box art, it has me a bit more tempted to get her now. Thanks, I enjoy your videos. 😊

No problem. Yeah, there was pictures that people were posting on Facebook and Instagram going around that made it seem like she was a playland all in a fancy box, so I wanted to be as detailed as I could with my review

YES!!! HAHAHA. fun fact; in that movie, the script said she was to blow a "raspberry" (stick her tongue out), but instead she said the word "Raspberries" 😂😂😂😂😂 I love her 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Wow, you totally sold me on this doll! The dress is so well made and would surely require more time and skill to produce. The rabbit and his house and all the little accessories are adorable. I can totally understand why a fan of Alice in Wonderland would pay $100. The graphic design and printing quality on the box is amazing! I can see where the cost went in all the details and your in depth review was really great! I did previously think she was overpriced but now I can appreciate the value of this doll. Personally, I would feel comfortable paying $75 for this collector doll because of the missing wrist articulation and it would have been cool if she had bloomers and white tights. (Also, I appreciate that this wasn't a paid ad and you gave your honest opinion though even if it had been you are likely to still give your honest opinion unlike some others).

I will always give my honest opinion. This definitely was not a paid advertisement, but even if it was, I would still be honest. If any brand approached me asking if I would promote something for them, I would only do it with the condition that I will be honest, even if I find something I don't like. Alice in Wonderland also was one of the first movies my parents recorded on VHS for me 😁 but mine was the Disney version 😉 So it also has a special place un my heart. (Even did an Alice cosplay a couple years ago.) I love this doll! When I saw her shoes I also immediately thought of MH or EAH. I bet you are right with the designers 😆 The quality of her outfit looks so good! I'm impressed. The whole idea and design is so good! And I think your thoughts about her price, value and the value to you personally, make a lot of sense. Also really liked in the other video when you were talking about price vs. value of dolls etc. 👌(just didn't get around commenting in it😅) Could the facemold of the late 90s Mattel Alice be the Jazzie/ Heart Family Mom face? She totally reminded me of that face as soon as you showed her. Great video as always 😊💗

Weep! I do not think that 'ALICE' was available to buy in the 'Land of her birth'.. I first saw her being reviewed by Melissa @ 'My World'. She was equally enthusiastic with this 'ALICE'. I am glad that she is in OUR WORLD and will have to enjoy from afar.........................

Hi great video I think I've gone on a channel binge with your videos, you really go in-depth with your reviews and that helps me decide if some dolls are worth it. Will you be reviewing the Disney store deluxe Princesses? I Think they have healed feet now and some body changes, I'm not sure

did you ever see the hanna barbera version its brilliant . also the film from the 1970s which palitoy uk made a walking talking doll with 6 interchangeable records narated by fiona fullerton the actress that appeared in that version

I’m glad you have the ShopDisney Alice so you could accurately compare them, when I saw the comparison pics on IG I really thought there were drastic differences and since I have the $100 Alice I can tell the outfit is very good quality but I don’t have the ShopDisney Alice so I can’t tell the differences in person. Curious (and curiouser ;) does the ShopDisney Alice have an apron that you can remove?

I mean, if you think of everything you get for $29.99 in an ILY doll, it's hard to justify the price of this doll.

@@missmodern actually it's not. Don't get me wrong, I'm in love with the ILY dolls, however, the materials alone (from the clothing to the plastic of the body, to the hair) are higher quality than ILY dolls. Also, people seem to forget about the packaging since a lot of out of box collectors don't care about the box, and the packaging and presentation also add to the cost. Another thing; the limited quantities for a collector doll will automatically cost more to produce compared to mass-produced dolls that will cost less to produce per doll. This is why I stress the whole "cost vs value" conversation. Just because you don't particularly like what you get for the price here doesn't mean she's not worth it. Obviously, if you aren't happy with it, don't spend your money on it. If enough people don't buy the doll, maybe Mattel and Disney will get the hint as to what most people do want or are willing to spend their money on. But personally, I'm happy with this purchase.

I believe she is 11 1/2 in. I will have to double-check. She is the same height as the other Mattel collector Alice doll that I have from 1999 which I believe it the same height as a regular Barbie. So she is taller than the Disney store classic doll version of Alice.
