The thing I've always appreciated about Commissioned is that the lyrics could never be confused for random scripture plucked out and repeated, but deep theological concepts that you cannot sing without reassessing your relationship with God. That paired with POWERFUL music arrangements that cannot be classified as generic "gospel" but truly musical masterpieces on their own.

It’s so hard to watch this knowing BISHOP BROOKS has passed and FRED HAMMOND is going through so much physically, and COMMISSIONED hasn’t been able to reconnect and produce one last album before everyone dies and goes to be with the LORD. COMMISSIONED, helped me so much as a young Christian coming up, to embrace that it was OK, as a MAN, that I could worship GOD fully without being embarrassed or feeling weird. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

HE gave it away to me on calvary & because of HIS love i am here today. When i should have lost my mind - GOD'S amazing love, mercy & grace kept me. I withstood so many storms and I am a witness to this song that if you don't give it away then it truly isn't love. GOD taught me (and still teaching me) how to love others no matter what they do or don't do. Amen. My brothers I was in my teens and had to sing with my older siblings for my Dad’s ministry singing all your difficult songs but it all fell deep into my soul. I know it was not easy we were 8 kids singing and making music for my parents ministry in South Africa. But I tell you God is and will be faithful to each one’s families and ministries . 🙏🏻🌻
