I envy people with the willpower to eat healthy. I've never eaten red meat and rarely eat pork, but fish and chicken will always be mainstays. No alcohol, caffeine or soda. I drink about a gallon of water per day. Also: ~90% of Black people are lactose intolerant. (As is my white ass!) That HAS to have an impact on the high rates of asthma, allergies and other chronic diseases in modern society. Dairy produces phlegm, which can be awful for singers.

@TheClubMantra If you mean a weed high...who cares. A lot of people who are about natural living smoke weed. I know my uncle does, who as a teenager nearly died from a thyroid condition. Because that happened to him, he changed everything from his eating and exercise to his doctor visits. He's not a weed head, but he does smoke it, and he doesn't go to doctors either. I guess he goes to Holistic doctors. And he's healthier than me (he's 47, I'm 21).

I LOVE Erykah and I LOVE Common, but plants and vegetables and fruits are all living, breathing(Photosynthesis is respiratory) organisms and unless you chew on them while they are still in the ground your eating dead stuff. Cooked or not. Eating too much meat can cause harm just as eating too much greenery can. Eating excess ANYTHING is not good. It's like Erykah said balance is the key. Anyway Love and respect both artists for doing what they believe though.
