Tamou should've been suspended for longer but I'm happy he wasn't. What he said was 100% accurate. Cummins, Klein and Sutton are the worst referees yet Annersley and the NRL keep defending their incompetence.

Well said Re James Tamou and other areas suggesting fair and honest decisions. Its obvious the world has changed in the last couple of decades... therefore the people have changed too. The kids and men playing now need to be considered as sportsmen not warriors. The supporters need to be considered as critics not fanatics. We will get there together. Massive love good humans!

Tamou just said what we’ve all been saying for years. These referees need a stint in Cup Grade, week after week they show their incompetence and Anneslay just either doesn’t care or doesn’t see it

....and at what point do referees get penalised for their bias and bad calls...the gentleman he abused is noted for his bias and lack of consistency....James simply expressed how unfair and biased this particular ref is....good work James Tamau ...sorry for but understand your apology...social engineering at its worst....

I must be watching a different game. After a Tigers player was put on report for a hip drop/cannonball that was pretty harmless but technically correct. Then with 2.20 left on the Clock and the Tigers finally in an attacking position Tamou is wrapped up, momentum stopped but still standing in a 2 man tackle and is hit totally blind directly into the side of his left knee by a third tackler (the younger Butcher). Ball gets dropped, no penalty to the Tigers… nothing. Tamou throws the ball and gets penalised by the ref for “backchat”. That’s where he lost respect for the ref. And where was the video ref on this one? And the commentators - do they note the inconsistency? Nope, the dullard commentator defaults to boofhead mode and chuckles at another Tiger asking is they can challenge the backchat penalty. This is what set Tamou off and not a single commentator has even noticed. The ref, the bunker, the touchies and the commentators are all incompetent and inconsistent. This was the point where the Tigers could have had a call go their way, or the ref could have cooled things down - but the refs just rubbed Tamou’s nose in it and doubled down against the Tigers. I don’t agree with how Tamou reacted later in the game, but i can understand his frustration and i agree with him that the refs were incompetent. Call “held” when the momentum has stopped, don’t delay so a third played feels obliged to come in late at the legs. Call “held” you clowns - otherwise players are being injured unnecessarily.

If James Tamou is leaving the Tigers the NZ Warriors must offer him a 2yr contract immediately, he has said he wishes to play on and he would be the most important signing NZ .W 's would ever get not only for his ability to play in the middle consistently but also for his leadership qualities (yes he made a mistake last weekend, his first ever ) .He also has NZ Maori ancestry and can nurture young kiwi talent ....He's won a Premiership with the Panthers as well as leading from the front with a team struggling to win consistently so his worth would be immeasurable to the Warriors and NZ
