What if your ex is FA and he left you because of his fears not anything you did??? I started therapy months ago to help better set boundaries in all relationships including with my family, he’s aware of that. He told me it’s nothing I did. He thinks his ex messed him up, that could be a factor, but knowing a little about his upbringing, I think that’s the root of his avoidant personality, it was chaotic and when I asked about his dad his demeanor shifted as if he was a kid again. I didn’t push too much, but I get the feeling his ex that cheated was probably the only female he let in and her betrayal really shook him and reinforced his lack of trust issues. I now know I have FA tendencies, we triggered each other for the same reasons, self protection. I’m more aware now of all of this, but he won’t communicate if I reach out with emotional stuff, only light stuff. It’s frustrating. I’ve not reached out in 2wks since he didn’t respond to my last 2 texts. Ignoring is a trigger of mine that makes me feel rejected and abandoned. Not sure what to do. Please help, I miss him so much

Why was I good in communication with my ex when we were texting but in person I wasn't? I'm shy and it's so hard for me to communicate my needs in person and he thought I wasn't interested in him sometimes.

I am confused as it was sooooo strong both ways, equally give and take, after our short trip, that's when he started to be avoidend, I mentioned that I understand space and everyone needs it, but not answering after saying thank you for the nice trip ect amd hearing back 3 days after made me insecure. I mentioned how it made me feel and that I understand everything as long as there is comunication( just to say I need space I contact you in 2, 3 days ) anyway, we spoke, he understood, apologised, and then again the same shit... So here I am said I need to let this go. He agrees bur likes all my social media? Is that a sign of reconnecting?
