June 2020. My first attempt at building a layout, influenced heavily by Chris Nevard's OO gauge layout Porth Emmett.
Despite being a roundy-roundy, it is designed to fit into a Really Useful Box (see final shot) so I can take it away with me when I go travelling.
For the first half of the video, I have overlayed sounds recorded on the Nene Valley Railway. For the second half, I left the natural sounds as they are.
I have footage of the construction, and will make a video diary detailing this if I get time. Thanks for watching.

Beautiful work! The natural lighting and trees swaying lightly in the breeze is superb. I have just subbed. Really want to see a construction video.

Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you. Although there are a few things I would do differently next time, most importantly I'd use Code 55 track.

Hello Andrew, Every Day i am searching for small or compact N- gauge or N- scale Modelrail layouts here on youtube. Now i found your Dale Green today, so my comment is a bit late, sorry for that. It is a very nice little layout i like it very much. Your video is allways in good quality and the real sound is much better as an DCC Loco with sound. Thanks for sharing Dale Green with us. Same, got to replace the summer house where my last layout was due to rot (Dad built it where I couldn't get round the back), have a 12x8 shed to replace it. Looking at 4 loops going round the outside, fiddle yard along one long wall and a branch climbing along the other long wall, down the side and round to a small station with a brewery sitting above the fiddle yard. According to Anyrail it has a total track length of 70m

Great little layout the scenery is very well done, what size is it please? I am just starting to build a 4'3''x2'3'' n gauge on my narrow boat.

Yes, I know that my Brake Van and coal wagon are three sheets to the wind ;) They have been re-wheeled since this video was shot. I think Peco must have had a very bad batch of wheels.
