You're right. I run 31 spline Moser on my street car and the axles slide in real easy - too easy. Nothing broke yet though.

Unless Mark Williams has changed, they had their own proprietary spline angle and nothing interchanges with other manufacturers.

some newer stange spools have the splines moved out under the bearing to make it stronger. just looking at moser axles the splines look cut, and moser will shorten an axle by cutting more spline into the shaft.

Strange man myself. And I use Strange parts in my rear-ends. Building one now for my altered wheelbase gasser. You guys are the $&@?! Miss Fit? Love that car!

Would be interesting to know what the O.D. measures over the splines of the Moser and Strange axles . Mark Williams stuff has been proprietary since at least the middle seventies .

Wonder if you use their axles with their own spools if they'd match up better? If I'm buying axles from a company, I'm also buying the spool from the same company to make sure everything fits as it should.

I bet if I put "House of the Holy" in my 8 track he would get the Led out and start to head shaking. You young bucks pay attention to this man and just maybe you'll learn a couple things. One being who Led Zeppelin is and #2) how to go fast (maybe not straight) but you will go fast. You should be at the track by now, have fun and stay spicy.
