25g difference at about 400g is nothing. You certainly don't feel that either. Not in a blind test, but the other arguments certainly speak for version II.

I don’t really see the stock reduction in the vibration reduction a big issue. There is not many good landscape photographers who don’t shoot with it out of tripod anyone with a salt sheets with a tripod. Yes you can take the odd handheld shot if you’re shooting in low light with any camera and I teach Photography you use a tripod. I think I would have rather seen them put better optics in this and a lot of stock. F4 is unacceptable for 10 to 24 in 2023.. I can’t understand why this isn’t a 2.8 just cannot fathom it. Sorry very disappointing upgrade it is virtually the same lens
