Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I’m sure it’s time consuming. I relate to you because I’m an older guy still doing the trade. Keep up the good work and the constant learning that excellence requires. It matters. I never see an apprentice on your videos. Mud fits every shape, every size, every drain location, every depth, subfloor does not have to be leveled or smooth, and has no tile size restrictions. Plus It's cheaper and faster if you know how.

@@SalDiBlasiI've installed hundreds of kerdi waterproof systems, with prefabricated pans, I haven't found a more efficient and quicker method then this one thus far. First day I'm able to install the system, install and grout the mosaic floor and also install the marble curb. Next day I am able to install the walls, third day I grout first thing I typically will use mapei rapid set grout after that I will go to lunch come back and silicone. Total of approximately 20 hours. A good three day job. I have never been able to install and finish a shower stall that fast when a dry pack shower bed was involved.

Good morning Sal. I am looking to upgrade my tooling. I've seen you using the dry cuts and was wondering which brand you would recommend? I've not used one and am a tad sceptical.

The framing of the ceiling has to be constructed properly to support the tile, if it is not do not install tile, simple.

What kind of deck mid do you use? I get the stuff from Emser and i cant seem to get it super smooth on top. When i put my sheet membrane down the little grains of sand can poke holes in my membrane. Wha t do you recommend for deck mud

Have to get the right amount of water in the mix and it will work fine. However the stuff in the video is Mapie 4 to 1

Supposed to be 2" per foot.

Not necessary, unless it's a high level steam shower or if there isn't a fan in close proximity, and even then it's still not critical.

Bi Sal.. cant wait to see this and search ypur channel for anything steam related. im about to do my 1st one in my master.. Quick question.. when using wod for curbs whether concrete or subfloor do you use adhesive too before using mechan9cal fastners?
