JACCOB is a dear freind I was actually on the show 2 times and our friendship grew .later when I was dying of Covid in ICU last year. I wacthed and it snaped me out of my depression. He also texted me 2 times a week to see how I was.. he is a great guy you hang in there.

Hi Jacob - Beaches in New Jersey (except Wildwood) are either private or pay-to-enter during the daytime in the summer. The entry fee pays for lifeguards, daily summer maintenance and winter protection like snow fences. The security at Jenkinson's is because they've been having problems with groups of rowdy beachgoers this year. Welcome to New Jersey where nothing is free and everything is dangerous!

That funhouse looks great! BTW, the quickest way to get through a mirror maze is to look at the floor and follow the wear marks. And Pendolo is generically known as a Frisbee ride.

Have you heard of the little amusement park in Keansburg, NJ.? You're about half an hour away from it in Point Pleasant. Keansburg used to have one of the finest tricky track funhouses in the country but that got destroyed in hurricane Sandy. Now it has a small walk-through haunted house. Some of the children's rides are over 50 years old and still running (though I'd make sure I had a tetanus shot before riding). It's definitely worth a walk through.

I used to live in Jersey, the beaches from Sandy Hook to Cape May they always had a fee to go on the Jersey Beaches. As far as I know Jersey beaches are the only beaches that charge a fee. Plus summer passes are extremely expensive also.

It's funny to see Jacob go to a place I'm so familiar with as someone who doesn't do a lot of extensive travel. We used to come here every summer before I was ten. I'm sure there have been some changes since. I've still never been inside the fun house though there was one ride I loved as a kid where you'd sit in a fish and ride in circles above water. Now I have a hankering to go back---fortunately it's only a 90 minute drive from home. Time to plan a trip!

The only free beach in NJ is Atlantic City, you always either need a beach "tag" that you wear on your bag (that you buy) or you pay at the toll booth. That's NJ for ya.

It's crazy. I used to go to jenkinson's aquarium all the time when I was a kid. Love the place. I never been in the fun house, but with the footage you're now showing it's impressive. I never been in it and I mean never and it's crazy. The area was hit hard during hurricane Sandy

Sometimes those glass boxes in the funhouse can be annoying rather than fun. But I learned to not look forward, as it is more confusing. So, look down where you are walking and usually you can see where the glass comes to the floor and where it does not. It's a great clue. Also, sometimes you will see footsteps. Wow you won at the grab game. I have never seen anyone, including myself, win. Thanks for sharing.

In my experience, many East coast beaches charge for admission. It is for upkeep of the beach and lifeguards. When I lived there, on Long Beach, NY, residents could get a summer pass.

I'm from New Jersey where you always have to pay for beach "access." I now live in Florida where all beaches for the most part are public and free. I truly don't know why it is that way, but I'm sure it makes them a lot of revenue.

That sure is a nice boardwalk, guarantees a day full of fun with the kids: Ocean, beach, funhouse, educative and fun aquarium, and lots of arcade activities. I'll pay more attention to your older and coming up new boardwalk vlogs, to see the differences and get some idea on which ones i would like to visit. Good gripping at the claw machine Jacob! There is a trick, but i never found out what it is. A friend of my son knows, he gets what he aims for all the time in any arcade!

Looks like they updated it from the last time I've been there, which was a while ago. The skeleton house used to be a jungle room. With rainforest animal wallpaper and an animatronic gorilla jumpscare. And the pirate room was forest themed.

Seeing this again as Pt. Pleasant (surely changed from when I was there last) as I spent my summers at the beach there in my 20's and 30's. In my day you bought a full summer badge that you didn't need to get one each time you went. More economical for sure.

I worked at Cedar Point Sandusky Ohio in the latter 70’s, Cedar Fair is a subsidiary of the original Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio . Worked in a coney stand on the other side of the beach fence in the park. Even back then,general admission was not allowed on the beach free. Mostly the Hotel patrons of the Breakers Cedar Point Hotel used the beach. I think there was paid admission though. Beach was immaculate for a Lake Erie beach. Love that beach! ❤️

I have heard of beaches charging for umbrellas etc but never to get on the beach itself. Interesting fun house but that 1st set of mirrors might have done me in. Lots of cool rides . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤

I've lived in New Jersey my whole 30 years and we've always had to pay admission for the beach, sadly. only place I've never paid was wildwood! always free beaches there.

Loved the Fun House. Sometimes you can navigate a mirror maze by looking at the worn path on the floor. The Hall of Farts was funny, little kids especially would love it.

Hello Jacob I remember years ago on beach holidays with my ex husband there were some beaches that charged a fee for the umbrella and sun loungers. Not every beach we went to was like that but some are. Great video by the way and every time I see you doing beach videos I get a craving for jetting off ✈️☀️🌊 thanks again and best wishes ❤️

It's admission for the beach because the beach is privately owned by Jenkinsons, not the town. That's literally a few blocks from my home.

Thanks for going to Pt Pleasant Jenkinson's Boardwalk. I used to go there everyone summer as a kind and younger adult with family. It sure has changed with many carnival type rides. The aquarium has been there a long time. SUGGESTION - ASBURY PARK USED TO BE THE PLACE TO GO BUT THEN FELL ON HARD TIMES. HOPEFULLY IT MAY HAVE BEEN A COMEBACK. ALSO SEASIDE HEIGHTS IS A GOOD BOARDWALK IN NJ.
