Great video! I decided to give a second chance to an old T41 and I bought a new battery as well as 2GB of RAM for less than $60 and when I was stuck to get access to the second memory board, I found your video. So now my T41 is working fine and fast with Bodhi Linux 5.0. Thank you!

Thanks for creating this good video on upgrading the T4x series. I have a T43 that my daughter had been using for the last few years and when I got it back, I was shocked to see that it only had 512MB of RAM. I found a 2GB (2 x 1GB) pack on Amazon.com for $10 and installed it. In addition to the performance increase, Windows 10 is finally installing too.

you don't need to unscrew to open the keyboard, you can easily open it at ease just for a nice push at the edge and unpuck the flat wire

My T41 has a rusty screw in the middle So I cant open up the keyboard Tried doing it by force but no luck As I need to change the mobo battery aswell

just a word of advice, you might want to rename the video or add the tags of installing ram or memory. Was looking for this video so I could add ram to an old T43 laptop and was trying to find out the areas for the memory. Anyway, thanks for the video, also! where can I find one of those watches? What's the maximum amount of RAM I can put in to a T43?

I bought a T41 for my daughter and it had 512mb of onboard RAM. I bought a couple of 1gb RAM sticks and was disappointed to find it only has one slot for RAM, so could only put 1GB in. Can you upgrade the onboard RAM? And can you put a 2gb RAM in? I have a feeling Windows XP won't see more than 2gb?

Camera Angle sucks bad - not easy seeing through your hand, in-fact, most of the time you are in the way of what you are trying to show.
