Computrace - Track, Manage, Secure IT Assets

Only way to to defeat it is to disable the service and never restart the machine. The services are hard coded in the BIOS and cannot be removed or reflashed. If the service is uninstalled, upon reboot it will immediately reinstall itself and call home before the Operating system boots. Swapping the hard drive is also ineffective. Setting up the machine with a static IP address and blocking it through a firewall doesn't work either and if so you wouldn't have internet or networking. These chips now use SMS to transmit their GPS locations so even if its offline if can still send the info if in range of a cell tower and the battery has a charge. Basically you'll need a some very good solder\desolder skills to remove the bios chip and replace or reprogram it with absolute disabled.

@@somebodyimportint5791 yeah it does but i also used task manager to do it on reboot, i installed on company laptop windows today and it is still going (usually it was gone in like 2 hours or less). Also did some checks with rebooting

@@somebodyimportint5791 but what i discovered that this program doesnt change some thing on reboot, and script uses that and since it can't call it doesn't block laptop. But that's just my assumin from observing the script which is pretty simple and genius at the same time
