Not quite that kind of construction - more like a number of laminated layers of 'wood' (not a plywood body) of a non distinct kind. Most of those (like the Satellite I started on) were 7 1/4" radius - because they were made on the same jigs they were radiusing Strat copy necks on I guess. This was the next step up from that, 12" radius etc. I changed one of the pots, but none of them were original anyway.

@@TonyEdwardsGuitars I have an old Hondo Les Paul copy missing the pickups which I bought for about £10 from a car boot sale many year’s ago with the intention of fixing it up but it’s still much in the condition I bought it in, maybe I’ll get round to it one day, ( pigs might fly). Like the Columbus it has a screw on neck, I haven’t measured the fingerboard radius but I think that it’s flatter than 7.25 “ . The body is made up with layers of wood which can be easily seen from the sides, the top is a formed sort of plywood and there is a noticeable cavity underneath the top between the main body and the peak of the top.
