When it comes to action, I prefer '96 because of Broken Arrow, Twister, Mission: Impossible, The Rock, Eraser, Independence Day, Escape from L.A., The Long Kiss Goodnight, and Star Trek: First Contact.

@@cjwrench07 Dude, I'm young (early 20s) and I've seen more than a thousand movies in my life. What I can safely say is that older movies, especially 90s movies, have much more soul to them than today's cinema. Movies back then had more rawness and didn't feel as overdone. Films today just look far too glossy and digitalised, and many of the more expensive films are now entirely made in front of a green screen rather than on location. Everything's made with a computer these days. Take The Irishman for example. All the ingredients are there to make a new classic, but the whole movie has this artificial look to it. I didn't care for it solely because of its use of digital cameras and shoddy use of CGI.

There was humor in it that was clearly aimed for a younger audience, but then there were moments that were definitely not meant for a family film, which it was meant to be. When the kitten was ground up by the spinning blades, I threw my hands up and said "Who is this film for?!"
