SiriusXM letting him go live at any time is the same move as TBS giving him a show and letting him do literally anything; with any other person it's probably a mistake, with Conan it's how you produce the best content you possibly could

I'm an idiot. I actually showed up for an X-Men pitch. Cyclops doesn't technically shoot lasers. It's called an optic blast because it is a bludgeoning force, and his eyes are portals to an infinite dimension of the energy. I know pure energy cannot bludgeon, but they needed a reason for him not cutting everyone in half. His visors use ruby quartz to redirect the energy, allowing control. I hope this helps you get through your day-to-day.

Ya know, it's kind of irritating when they show him scream all pissed off, and shoot his eyes harder cuz he's grrrr. The power is on at full blast all the time - that's the problem. And that's why I don't get people hating on him for being a tightwad. He has to be aware of his surroundings all the time. It's like having a semi-nuclear minigun annihilating all you can see before you. Trees, buildings, the ground, people. Beast had to make him super-tech to let him ever open his eyes again. How does he wake up in the morning properly? What if he has a lucid dream? What if he slips while he's out jogging. Nevermind that he's been in charge of a combat unit since being a young teenager, the weight of which Prof. X made clear from the beginning. Any time he slips up for a moment, someone dies. So, jeez Wolverine, stop trying to bang his wife. Pretty unprofessional workspace, dude. We're trying to win equality for all mutants, here

Okay, Conan’s Cyclops at the optometrist was the first actual time I was taking a sip of a cocktail and spit it out (and across my microwave 😕). I don’t know what we did to deserve Coco and the Chill Chums, but I’m sure glad we did it

I feel like a family friendly sci fi probably wouldn't work. It honestly would be better recieved if they made it a family/marraige drama with heavy sci fi elements or a dark sci fi with heavy familial drama elements. I've personally thought that the family elements make a lot of their stories *work.* I seriously hope that dude from the office doesn't get the role.

SiriusXM(en) is actually the name of Conan's X-Men movie. In it, he plays "Dr. Sirius," who's power is making everybody laugh so that they can't stop him from committing old-timey crimes and twirling his moustache. In this continuum, Magneto is helpless _against_ magnets and Wolverine's bones are covered in Strontium.
