Thank you for your encouragement. I'm 15 and a freshman in high school (1st year in secondary school might be the equivalent I'm not sure). As a 15 year old student pilot, details about the airline career, how one might get there, and general information and encouragement are much appreciated. You keep me motivated to chase me dreams. Thank you +Mentour for your videos, they truly help and entertain/educate those like myself (I'm assuming there are others out there). You have truly made an impact on my future. Thank you for your motivation and dedication. From, Victor Mandala, Los Angeles California.

Hello Mentour, love your vids! They are very helpful and provide the much-needed guidance or at least motivation for me to pursue aviation, either as an interest... or a bit more than that. Anyway, I'm only a kid, so the obssessions I have now may change eventually. At the moment, I looovveeee aviation, and hence your vids as well. I have a question though. I've been scouring through the internet and have read many articles by experienced pilots. I expect them to at least mention their love of flying and acknowledge their being on the top of the world and looking towards clouds upon a vast horizon and admiring epic views at their work- almost none of them exhibit an appreciation of what I thought would be a beautiful, rare view. Keeping in mind that I'm just a kid, could you perhaps tell me what your perspective is of your workplace upon the clouds? Do you cherish the view and feel exhilarated by the height? Do you wake up per morning looking forward to what offers you at work? Do you like your job? Because I expect that I'd love it, but experienced pilots have barely shown a love for what they do. Thanks Mentour, I look forward to your vids, hope you reply and help me out a bit. Carl. S

Hello Mentour! Did you have any previous experience working in general aviation? If you had, would you comment how it was and how the beggining of your career has developed after your professional training? I don't know how the job market works out there, but in my country (Brazil) you should be willing to establish A LOT of networking to find a spot as a copilot (maybe as an assistant of a copilot =D) in general aviation. Usually, the pathway towards a job at an airline company starts at the general aviation around here. Thank you again, for your realistic and inspiring point of view regarding a career in aviation industry!

When, in your opinion, will be a good time to send out my resume to the airlines and to the different HR companies? I've heard by a an airline pilot, that might be good to make a first contact with an HR (like McGinley) even now while still doing the ATPL examinations. Is it a good idea? Or just better to wait first and have everything set (like MCC, EASA CPL, ATPL FROZEN and etc) and then call them? What do you suggest?

hi, I'm a big fan of your videos. Question: So the FAA likes to deny my medicals. I just found out that I can get my what youd call "Special Issuence Certificate". Basically the same thing as a medical certificate but slightly different. How are they different? What does that mean for me now now that I'm getting one? How does it work? Thank you. btw I want to be a 737 pilot. that's my dream job. some pilots tell me it isn't all what it's cracked up to be but I'm completely different on the way I feel about them. I LOVE those airplanes.

Meh - I can't become a pilot. I consider myself "reasonably healthy", but I have MS, and also some double vision. I've had this double vision for as long as I can remember and it doesn't bother me much. But I guess they wouldn't let me fly. Ah, whatever. I'll just work at remaining a pedestrian for as long as I live, and that's already something :-)

I am a cadet of your airline and Im starting intro week in 4 weeks. The way I am studying is that I am covering all the systems using the FCTM Vol 2 and after each system I make some questions that are available online on "Smartcockpit.com" ... after I finish all systems and I know them very very well I want to go further into other part maybe QRH memory items or procedures. Hello, I want to become a pilot. I have no A levels and I am in the process of going back to college one night a week to resit my english language. I would then have 5 GCSEs at C grade plus a BTEC. I am currently looking at a course with CTC which takes you from nothing to an ATPL and an airline qualification course with an airline so they say. It would be quicker to do the course with CTC however a lot more money and a lot of debt. Would It be better to go modular and save the money bare in mind I have no A levels and CTC say they would put me in an airline to train for a certain amount of years or would it be better to do it modular and have little debt but may really struggle trying to find a job?

+Kevin Connelly I started my my PPL training when i was 16. I got my PPL in the age of 17. And i was still studying in a high school at that point. During my last year at school i was doing hours building. Now i'm 19 and about to finish my ATPL theory and just started an IR training, so i think your age is just about fine, to think about starting a training. And about your question... I think it depends on how much money you are ready to pay for your training. As Mentour mentioned in some previous videos, if you will go for integrated training you're gonna spend more money, but the training will pass much faster, compared to modular training, where it will take a bit more time, but the price will be lower. Plus, you can start your modular training while you are still at high school, so by the time you graduate, you will already have some of the training complete. And as far as individual schools are concerned, you should read on aviation forums opinions on this school, and obviously visit as much as possible to see which one looks better

Hi mentour. Love the video. But i am honestly concerned with the choice i have made during my exams. I have already got my maths gcse and english language gcse and science core gcse. I have also got more on the way next week. However when i passed my math gcse with a grade C i was chuffed but i found out that in the UK you need a level physiscs and to do that you needed a B or higher jn maths. Its now to late to do higher tier maths exam and im in a position of loosing hope already. I hate having this attitude cause ive never been like this.
