-------------------------------- CAUTION ------------------------------
You must ensure that the Ground (GD-White) and Battery (AX-BLACK) leads in the RV's 7-Pin connector are 10AWG. Most are, but some cheaper RVs may use 14AWG. Do NOT use this adapter if the AX and GD wires are less than 10AWG.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I recently purchased a ViaAir RV air compressor which is a good unit. However, it is intended to be powered from a battery as it has alligator clips for the power leads. The two options for powering the compressor is either from the tow vehicle or RV itself from it's Deep-Cycle battery.
I prefer to use the RV as the two vehicle may not always be available. Unfortunately, the battery in the RV is contained in a battery box, secured with a strap tie down and reaching the battery terminals is not easy.
In Video Part 1, I installed a remote battery connector in the RV. This requires wiring the connector directly to the battery. However some RV'ers will not want to do this, so in this part 2 video, I will build an adapter so the trailer's 7-Pin wire harness can be used.
