ANOTHER SUGGESTION ... a little more expensive but if you add 2 rubber couplings to both sides, your able to adjust the very critical angle of the PVC. Once you glue one side there's no more adjusting the angle of the new PVC pipe your adding. BTW - Chuck is amazing! Always great videos and passion to help us all!

I have needed to add extensions to my projects before and your methods are a lot easier than my struggles were!!!

You can also use 2 no hubs instead of glueing the tee to the existing pipe.

You mention the coupling is No-Hub, but the one you show is a Fernco coupling. They are different, with different applications.

To have a long lasting, adequate volume handling system, schedule 40 is the best option, with proper drain fall and water catchment.

Great video..probably will add two couplings so I can adjust/remove easily. Question for Chuck or others. Want to tie in a tiny home to septic using a T, probably with a clean out cap when not in use. Someone said I should have a backflow protector. Don't think that is necessary, but is it required and if so what kind of T pipe is suggested. Thanks for any info.

Hey Chuck....can you show what's needed to go from 1 1/2" schedule 40 PVC to 4" thinwall PVC? I have a sump pump discharge that I need to connect to existing 4" thinwall PVC and I have no idea if there is a specific adapter for the two types or what to get? Thanks..

I was standing in a 10 ft deep hole with a 4 inch pvc water pipe in my face it was cracked I cut it installed a slip collar and tightened it boss turned on water before I could get out of the hole. Water rushed thru pipe it held I was covering my face then Boom! The slip collar came off and hole filled with water instantly over my head .y feet stuck in the mud I raised my arms and 4 guys pulled me out of my boots 👢 saved my life. Boss bought me new boots 👢 then he said jump in the hole! I jumped in and installed a longer slip collar that fixed the leak . But I got out of the hole before they turned on the water!😮

How does the adapter (no glue) and the glued connections fare against tree roots? Got a lot of trees close to my drains

Chuck what is schedule 40 pvc? I’m replacing 50’ of 1” galvanized steel pipe for my well line and the pro told me to use schedule 40 pvc instead.

Chuck I’ve been watching your videos for the past year, thank you so much. when I bought my house, the gutters were broken and the ones that worked had the downspout exiting right next to the foundation. The pooling also drew so many mosquitoes. But after watching your videos, I’ve slowly begun adding drainage and solving that problem. Quick question. I saw one video where a guy added a “T” under a pop up emitter to allow the residual water in the pipe to drain after it stops raining. Do you ever do this on your jobs?

Hey chuck I saw those hubs and they seemed to fit perfect on ach 40. They were too big for the S&D pvc I already have. Do they make a hub that works with smaller 4” S&D?

What size are those schedule 40 pipes?
