His offense is NHL ready. Forcing plays is something I think he'll do less of at the NHL level where he won't necessarily be far and away the best player on the ice every night. Defense likely won't ever be his strong suit, but there's enough to where an NHL coaching staff can help, and if he works at it like Connor McDavid has, he can at least get to the point where he's not a major liability there.

He’ll be really fun to watch when he realizes that if he draws 3 players on himself there’s two of his teammates open. Great observations about him trying to do too much. How many assists has McDavid gotten for doing just that and dishing the puck to a Draisaitl one timer.

The WHL is a joke. He would have MAYBE 90 pts in the OHL. He has major gaps in strength, acceleration, agility, stamina, slapshot, and no moves that are NHL level, he makes a lot of mistakes and hogs the puck, and he is used to far less physical contact in the WHL, he will get flattened in the NHL. My bet is he's a middle of the road NHL player if he lasts.
