Here’s a trick to see both. If you just glance at the photo and ignore values, you’re gonna see white and gold. But if you look at the photo as if there’s a shadow covering the dress, you’re gonna see faded blue where the white is, and black where the gold is

No it is blue and black, you're correct, but she didn't show the very first image that made "the Dress" go viral. The original photograph was taken in a room with a yellow light overhead, and the shot was overexposed, causing the colors to wash. The reflection of the light on the black portion of the dress makes it look kind of like it's a shiny gold or copper color. If you intentionally ignore the yellowing from the light source and pretend as if it's neutral, you can purposefully trick yourself into seeing it as looking gold. It's kind of like when you're on the street at nighttime and the streetlamps are orange, and you have trouble discerning what color things are and have to compensate by trying to mentally color-correct what you're looking at.

I have seen both versions but honestly it's looking very blue and gold on the front of the video and in the video.

Add to the situation that viral image of the dress where some sees a different color way. I don't know if it can show the perspective of how it looks in my brain 🥲 There's also been times where a group of people make comments on a fake movies or fake shows to throw people in a loop, so yeah, people can also lie about something like that.
