The Dreame Bot Z10 Pro is one of the cheapest robot vacuums on the market that offers self-emptying and small obstacle detection and avoidance. We were eager to test it to find out if it's really as good of a value as it seems.

Is the dreametech D10 plus similar in performance to this? It's available for $300 and seems to have all the same features except for the small object detection which didnt work well anyway.

I’ve never owned a robot vacuum before but am looking at getting this one… How does it work with cleaning multi-level homes? Do you have to move the whole base to have it clean that level? Like bring the whole base upstairs for it to run upstairs and then bring it back downstairs after? Or do you just move the vacuum part itself?

You only have to move the vacuum. The robot will simply return to its starting point, once it's finished cleaning.

This robot gets so much hype online but I am just not sold given the navigation and object avoidance issues. I'm exploring the D9 Pro/Max at the moment and it seems to be pretty good.

I've tested the D9 Pro and would not recommend it, mostly due to some navigational issues. I recommend the Roborock Q5 or the Wyze robot if you're looking for a more budget friendly LIDAR robot vacuum.

@@consumer-analysis Thanks so much. I'm in Europe so the Wyze is not available. I'm looking at upgrading from the legendary S5 so it's a hard decision. Would you recommend the Roborock s7? I don't need obstacle avoidance and just want a great cleaning robot.

@@yoda101 I recommend Q series robots over the S7. Get the Q5 if you only need to vacuum, the Q7 if you need to only mop occasionally, and the Q7 Max if you need to mop frequently.

Hi, I'm looking for a robot vacuum with self empty bin and great obstacle avoidance but without a camera. This looked to be the best choice in the price range of 500-600 euro. But seeing this video, the obstacle avoidance isn't that good. What other would you recommend? Mopping is no priority. Thanks

The only robots I've tested that have good obstacle avoidance are the Roborock S6 MaxV, Roborock S7 MaxV, and iRobot Roomba j7. Unfortunately, none of these models fit your other requirements and so I can't really make a recommendation.

Thank you for the reply. The Roomba j7+ is prices 640 euro in my country. Do you recon this is a better overall choice for me? To give you an idea: 2 young kids, toys and foodcrumbs spilled everywhere everyday ;-) a cat, little hair and litter. But also the occasional cat hairball which you don't want in the robot

Ah I see this Roomba also has a camera. I don't like the idea of it being hacked into.. if the money is not a restriction, are there better object avoidance options?

@@sKoLb86 If money is not a restriction, I would go with the Roborock S7 MaxV. You could purchase the S7 MaxV Plus, which is cheaper than the Ultra model as it only self-empties.

Yes, that is a good price. Though I would recommend the Roborock Q5+ over the Z10 Pro if you can find it for a similar price.

@@johnjones-oi2ru With the Z10 Pro at 500€ I would go with the Q7 Max+ instead, but at 400€ I would probably go with the Z10 Pro. It's a really tough decision because the Q7 Max+ is the better robot, but at some point the price discrepancy is large enough to justify at least taking the cheaper option for a test run to see how well it works for your application.
