This is sad. They have it in their rules that contestants aren't allowed to try and spin for a specific part of the wheel - which is bullshit, if someone can skill-spin, let them. On top of that they put the high value wedge right next to the Bankrupt, they have outright added a Banrkupt space over the years, you have the extra 2/3rd of the Banrkupt on the Million Dollar Wedge...they need to let the winning contestant keep coming back and over and over like Jeopardy and see how long someone can stay there.

@@MewtwoStruckBack But they have also added a lot more guaranteed money with the toss-ups and prize puzzle. Not allowing people to try to spin for a specific part of the wheel is kinda like asking people not to play the game and just try to solve the puzzle.

Paddle = PA - dull. A sound like in Apple Pedal = PE - dull. E sound like in Exit. Sometimes the pronunciations can be a bit muddled depending on your dialect, but for the most part in America they are readily distinguishable.

I literally said paddle boat despite knowing the word was pedal. It's hard when the people asking the questions get it wrong.

The difference is a pedal boat has pedals like a bicycle.

I think it has something to with how they used to paddle a kid at school when they were acting up in class and wouldn't behave. We kind of think about peddling a bicycle , but not a boat in that manner. We paddle a kid, but we pedal a boat or bicycle. It is all a technicality. 😁depends on how we say it. 😉

There is a lot of overlap between pedal boats and paddle boats, but they're not the exact same thing. Instead of searching wikipedia, search boat retailers. There are a variety of brands that call their cycle-powered crafts "pedal boats." So its not like the TV show mistook or made up that name.
