Lol, so true! She never appears like a dirty hiker... even Pocket Rocket looked like a trail tested hiker despite being supported by her boyfriend Jay Wanders Out (I say 'yay Jay' whenever he posts on KZfaq, ha!)

You’re doing awesome, Heidi of the mountains. I like how you’re going back to face your fears. There is that interesting mixture of vulnerability and toughness coming out again.

Hi Stella. You are looking more like your old self now! Glad you are still taking it easy and being gentle with you body and soul. How is the Flash 55 pack working out for you in terms of comfort and capacity?

I see in Stellas future a few books on 🥾 hiking , how to pack a 🎒, how to adequately stay hydrated and nutrient rich, plus don’t forget a few full length feature films on your adventures, I could go on and on, I am looking forward to all of these.

Agreed. She has a great diet on trail. I have seen vlogs of kids eating sugar the whole trip. Not sustainable!

Always found the mental part was harder than the physical during my thru hikes. You are a strong hiker, the only thing that can stop you is In the mirror while your looking at it. Kept Pounding 👍🐅 TIGERDUKE 🐅

Looks like you have your energy back and you've been acclimated. Even Heidi makes mistakes and leaves her microspikes behind. So much gear to keep track of. Can't wait to see you back in the mountains of Colorado!

Always keep in mind that hiking should be an adventure that sometimes sucks and sometimes it's amazing but it always gives you a better perspective. Once it just starts beating you down and you stop seeing the benefits it's time to pack it in and do something else.

HEIDI, back on the trail. Wolf Creek Pass, way back in 1975 a fella named C.W McCall (suspect you have never heard of him) wrote and sang a song called "Wolf Creek Pass", look it up on the internet, pretty sure you will get a kick out of it. Black top, not the trail-trail which is much easier on your feet and knees, but the views are still pretty good. Cool coffee shop. South Fork, HUGE town, Population 365 + or -. SAFE HIKING

I do love that you are taking care of yourself. I think the pace now is a good idea, ease yourself in (though I suppose once you go back in the mountains won't be so easy, even if you are slower). All these little towns have some altitude so that's good too. I'm not vegan but I'm sorry they don't have some vegan cheese or something--but Colorado pizza is pretty good.

@MaxZomboni 3 жыл бұрын
For the record, this was not the CDT she was on. The CDT is up on the peeks. I'm sure she didn't want to be doing this road walk either, but she needed it to get herself back in shape so she can continue on. She knows what she can do, and she takes care of herself.

@@Asdzaan Actually any routes in the CDT corridor are acceptable. You can make your own route, as long as you walk continuously between the Mexican and Canadian Borders. But I'm pretty sure Stella will be back on the Red Line soon. She just needed a bit of a brake.

I thought you did a great job of filming when you were in the high country, but of course the more you can film the better. I'm looking forward to seeing you get back to the red line. 😎👍☮️
