Got the TKC70's on my 2001 Transalp 650. Have done 9000 km's on them in 4 months. Start to get heavy uneven wear on the front tire, due to pushing the tire too hard, which causes vibrations. Really grippy and great for riding off-road on an Adventure-Bike.

How many miles did you get out of them? I just traded my 1190 for a 1290 and am considering these to replace the factory tkc-80s

Tried the tkc80, s gone in 1000 miles, tried the tkc70 rocks still wearing fast and got a nail in it, so I'm gonna try the tkc70 rear, my off road is summer hard mud and gravel mostly

Got these for my CB 500 f Honda to pretend Adventure bike riding. Been about a year riding them. Feel good on streets but haven't been able to try offroad or dirt roads so can't comment on that. I really like their agressive look and don't feel like they handle any worse than OEM tires honestly. Was told they would handle for shit on pavement and I would regret buying them...NOPE and nope. would buy them again!!

I have Yamaha Mt 09 2017 and wanna get those fancy dual tyres but most of my driving is roads. But just fancying having that aggressive look to bike with Enduro look tyres. Plus I live in U.K. which is famous for its weather unpredictability. So need suggestions for best ones out there in terms of fitment, price point , weather and driving conditions. Thanx in advance REPLY

Your bike takes 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 tires, which are not common dual sport sizes. If you actually plan on taking the bike off-road, I would go with the Continental Twinduro TKC80 tires. I commute on mine every day and they do great off-road. Keep in mind you'll lose some of the aggressive sport bike qualities of your bike. The more responsible recommendation is really the Continental TKC 70s, which are a more street-oriented tire. Hope that helps! -TeamZilla Chris *www.revzilla.com/product/continental-twinduro-tkc80-dual-sport-tires *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/continental-tkc-70-tires

hi ,., i have a honda cbf 250cc 2006. the size of the rear tyre is 130 70 17,. i can only get the size of for my bike 130 80 17. will this be ok for my bike or not ,. kind regards
@RevZilla
@RevZilla 6 жыл бұрын
The 130/80-17 might be too tall. If you have a lot of clearance around the stock tire, it might work for you in the 130/80-17. -DrewZilla

If you have the necessary clearance, they might fit. However, we can only recommend staying with stock size tires. -DrewZilla

Haven't run these. But just judging on appearance, I bet that front tread design starts scalloping after a few thousand miles and gets buzzy.

My 1290 Super Adventure R came with TKC-80 and with 800 miles of mostly highway the rear was showing more wear than I was liking so went to the TKC-70. Now with 6000+ the front is showing a bit of scalloping and the rear is flattening in the the center ( typical braking wear). They handle great on everything I thrown them into except high speed straight aways. The bike has no trouble hiting the 125 mph limiter quickly but around 120 the front starts to shimmy and at just over 105 with the big 45Ltr tourtech panniers. the shimming came in earlier with the TKC-80 tires. so with about 5K miles on the TKC-70s I am satisfied but will probably try a different tire next time just to see how they work out. Looking at the new Mita E-07.

So, we talking about the tire on the counter or the one on the stand? Confusing presentation.
@yamaholic11
@yamaholic11 2 жыл бұрын
They're the same tire...one on the counter is the front and one standing up is the rear - FYI they also make the TKC 70 Rocks version now where the rear tire looks a lot closer to the front tread pattern...it doesn't have that solid strip down the middle which means it should hook up better in loose dirt but wear out a lot quicker

poor front tire wear, they scalloped at 5000 miles did not pass inspection. I have been religious about tire pressure as well. I would not recommend them for heavy adventure bikes.
