Joining mitres and ends on a contoured railing is simplified with a Lamello Invis magnetic joiner and 12mm dowels. The joint will be lasting and solid. This is an in-depth look at the process that will make you a better railing joiner.

I enjoy the fact you talk about fittings that don't exactly match. It let's me know I'm not the only one who encounters that sort of thing.

Thank you Paul. One of those things that unless you do this kind of work you wouldn't understand. Thank you for all your support. Cheers, Scott

My wife and I have done a lot of work with our local HOH. At one time we had an amazing ReStore in our area. My favorite organization.

Great videos Scott! I love the presentation. They armed me with the information I needed to take on my first stair rail project professionally. As for chisels, something like Stanley Sweethearts would be a great upgrade. When tuned, they can tackle a good range of furniture tasks.

Your videos are very informative..you make your plugs the same way I do. Press a bunch of them in a piece of wood and instead of trying to use a chisel to pop them out which sometimes isn’t very successful and especially if you need a thin plug. Then you cut them on a bandsaw, but I do it on a tablesaw and then they just pop right out and you can adjust the exact thickness, great stuff. Thanks, Scott.

Looks great Scott ! What a find to get bargain railing fittings. Of course the labor is more but you made it work ! Cheers !

@@jayschuon8330 Thanks Jay. I bought a few extra fittings just in case. But not many people are doing this kind of railing anymore, so if I bought a bunch they'd likely sit in my shop for twenty years. Cheers, Scott

@@scottwilson4347 Thank you for the encouragment Scott. I sharpened my plug cutter after that project. I'd like to find higher quality ones. I'm doing more small cutting on the bandsaw these days. Table saws make me nervous for small work. Cheers, Scott
