Job contract analysis is not a typical part of medical education. So when I got my first job offer, my immediate next step was to review it with a contract attorney. In this video, my attorney Chuck Assini describes the fundamental aspects of the job search and contract review processes.
I had a wonderful experience working with Mr. Assini and would strongly recommend his services. He can be reached by email (Chuck@AssiniLaw.com) or found on LinkedIn: / charles-j-assini-jr

Dr Feinstein, I am not a member of the medical community. However, I am a patient of several doctors. Your videos really educate me on all aspects of the medical profession and helps me understand "the system," and what doctors go through. It helps me build a wonderful relationship with my doctors as people and not just the image of someone in an ivory tower. Thank you for the perspective you have given me, and probably many others.

great video, Max. Thanks for doing this. An interview with a CPA next would be super helpful as well.

Its very unfortunate doctors have to deal with noncompetes. Attorneys are prohibited from non competes so that a client can keep their attorney if their attorney changes firms. also firms can't be owned by nonlawyers so we dont have to deal with unethical pressures from private equity. Edit: I'm an attorney

Love this video! Thank you both for taking the time to film this. I had never even heard of equity positions before.

Wow, so many things that need consideration, it explains a lot about the struggle our family friends (and our former pediatricians) went through when they owned their own practice and were bought out by the local healthcare system and decided to become pediatric hospitalists instead for a while but had to deal with non compete clauses as a part of that, absolutely fascinating information to learn about!

Great video thanks for sharing! Great info! I really enjoy donating to the anesthesiologist Foundation, since it was hard for me to go to college because of my cerebral palsy, I really wanted to be an anesthesiologist! It takes a special person to be an anesthesiologist or CRNA and you’re one of them! I look up to all anesthesiologist and CRNA! You rock!

This all seems rather complicated and mercinary. Do you love this aspect of your profession? How would this video differ if you were Canadian, Japanese, English or Italian and were starting non-supervised practice in your home country? You said: "Any physician".
