I've been getting back into Battletech of late and using a technique much like this to get my models table ready in a hurry. I've had a lot of success with such super simple steps.

Your tutorials are really dangerous for our wallets, these new figures are incredibles, the paintjob on the jacket has exalted the details. Normally for highlights on black I use or VMC Black Grey(your suggestioni) or a mix of Black & VGC Hawk Turquoise, to add variety, expecially when painting shoes or belts.

Nice results, and gets these troopers ready ready for action quickly. I’m pretty sure I wrote the first online painting guide for fleet troopers in the 90s when I was painting Grenadier/West End Games’ 25mm Star Wars figures. I still have some squads in the garage that could be completed, so I might pick up those grey contrast paints I’m missing and give this a try.

If you want for shading the white try using soul blight grey, instead of apothecary white. 😊 Great content as always!👍🏽
