Thanks for showing us your Benz! Looks really good, Maaco did a fine job! Here in Gemany I‘ve got a w123 as well, a Petrol Metallic 300d which was imported from Spain in August last year! Only got around 93k Miles on him as well!

Someone asked me if I got two black eyes from the crowbar hitting me in the face. I want to assure you that the image of me injured in the video thumbnail is just dramatic license for marketing the video (it is Photoshopped) and all I got from the smack to the face was a lot of pain and a little redness and a lot embarrassment from sharing the mistake mainly to help make sure someone else doesn’t do it by watching my mistake. There is a second BONUS Ring Video clip later in the video if you watch all the way through that shows me accidentally dropping the car to the ground.

I noticed you put a green bearing grease onto your rubber boots. Be sure to clean it off and use a silicone paste. Silicone paste will prolong the life of the boots and will prevent cracking. Petroleum products such as bearing grease is very bad for rubber seals and boots. Use only the silicone paste

Thank you for letting me know. I did put some on but now it is cleaned off and now is silicone only. I love your channel by the way. If anyone hasn’t checked out Vito’s Garage you should head over and check out his awesome channel!

Is there any difference between silicon lubri-film and paste? I used Lucas lubrifilm silicone.

@@DangerDIY Thank you sir! And great job saving these a amazing Classic German Cars! They don’t make them like they used to! They all deserve our love. And the difference between the paste and lubrifilm is that the paste will stay on the boots and rubber for a super long time. It’s like a grease, but it’s silicone. The lubrifilm is a spray so it’ll dry out quickly and you’ll need to spray the parts very often. I love silicone paste. I clean up first, and then cover all the rubber parts, even the inner door seals with silicone paste. That’s the key. They’ll never dry rot or go bad. The silicone paste will keep everything preserved. Some dirt will stick to the paste but don’t worry, the paste is protecting your rubber components. Also don’t forget to condition your interior (seats, dash, door panels) with leather conditioner. Your interior will stay amazing for another 100 years

It is 40 seconds into the video. And I replay it right after zoomed in as well. Did you not see me prying at the cool spring with the crowbar and it come back and pop me in the face?

@@DeedeeandtheBeebee thank you. I was lucky it didn’t brake my nose. It felt like it did and hurt for a few days after too. But that is why I called my channel Danger DIY because sometimes I don’t do things the safest way the first time I try it.
