@harshityashwardhan

Its simple just add the leds for like all 4 modes , 4 led to different pin and then just define them low and when rotary encoder is pressed just make the turn on

Did not work for me, you should avoid using pins with LEDs attached. On the Pro Micro / Leonardo (new smaller version) I used pins 2, 3 and 4. Worked like magic. Thanks for this code. Just subbed.

Thanks for good tutorial. I have one question. Can I use multiple rotary encoder (say 2 or 3) with this library, and how separate their functionality.
@Codeometry
@Codeometry 2 жыл бұрын
Yes sure, Arduino has enough pins to support multiple rotary encoders. Just map different pins to different encoders.

Ok, so in my case all I got is two UNOs, and the same author of HID also did something called hootloader2, which would allow the UNO have the same usb capabilities as the leonardo, prob is uh, you could brick it if you're not careful. It says something about not being able to flash with flip anymore, I don't know if the arduino IDE uses flip or if it uses something else, but uh, keep that in mind. Currently I'm smashing my head against my keyboard because my UNO is the R3 and it doesn't have some pins that are shown in a picture that explains the wiring process which is important to do the weird microcontroller black magic thing to get hootloader installed, so, that's fun
@Codeometry
@Codeometry 2 жыл бұрын
Hey, if you manage to make it work using UNO, please update the steps in the comments, I'm sure that'll be useful for someone looking for help in the comments. Thanks!

@@Codeometry Sup so, after some digging I contacted the lad who made Hootlader and turns out that if your UNO is a clone/chinese there's a good chance you won't even be able to flash hootloader as those clones do not have the Atmel 16u chip, which is the chip that deals with the USB stuff and supports USB MCU. The lads out there who got an Elegoo for example, uh, yeah we're fucked. Elegoo's UNO uses a HT42B534-2 chip, which is just a cheap usb microcontroller, and it doesn't seem to support USB MCU. here's a link for those with more details: www.bestmodulescorp.com/ht42b534-2-8sop.html A workaround to make the uno do stuff on the pc tho is that one makes a script that reads whatever the UNO is printing, and based on that one sort of triggers something. Basically doing what this lad did with some ultrasonic sensors, but one instead does such with an IR signal, or an encoder or whatever: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zpuad7SHmcXZiIk.html So that's sort of what I gonna do. Still decided to order a Leonardo because I'm lazy

@Codeometry
@Codeometry 3 жыл бұрын
OBS also allows us to configure Hot Keys. In OBS, go to settings > Hotkeys and then configure a keyboard shortcut for the feature you want to control using the keypad. For example: you can assign the keyboard shortcut "Windows + Alt + S" to start streaming. Then as shown in the video, you can program the arduino to send "Windows + Alt + S" when any keypad key is pressed. It is as simple as that! Check this video for the walkthrough: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iMx8nM6FrM6UdmQ.html
