me too! I always have to draw out a shape to make a fill in Designer!

Hey, You should always be able to click back on the layer with the gradient then look in the top left corner for 'Fill' it should show a preview of the gradient. I just tested with multiple layers and seems to work well, but let me know if it doesn't for you.

@@bydesignmethod AHA, I have been using the wrong type of layer. I have always dropped a new pixel layer not a new fill layer. Sorted thank you!

Hey Tim, I would create a gradient and add 2 points in the middle (first point grey, second point white, 3rd point grey, 4 point blue) --> Look for 'insert' in the gradient box If that wasn't quite the look I was going for I would split the rectangle into two (create one then duplicate and move it - hold shift for a straight line) and then control each one seperate. Let me know if that helps!

Hey, The colour picker won't work for gradients, it targets specific RGB colours to form a hex code from what it sees. If you have an existing gradient you created you could use the Style Picker Tool to copy and apply to other shapes/text. If it's a photo of a gradient you would have to copy/manually create it first.

Hey, You should be able to find 'fill' at the top left of your screen to change it. Example: You create a shape, create a gradient, add text, add a picture then want to change the gradient. Click back on the layer with the gradient and look for 'fill' in the top left corner, you should see a box with your gradient colours - click on that and you should be able to modify it. I'm making one talking about how i'm transitioning to affintiy from photoshop, and I wanted to tag you as a good resource. Others have tagged KZfaqrs that aren't on the platform by showing their page, but -having been on the other side of that interaction- I know it will be a much easier transition from my video to your content if you have a page there that links to your KZfaq account. Sometimes people get lost, or I've even seen others get in the comments and distract viewers from the actual resource -intentionally or otherwise.
