Invented by #softelectronics pioneer NTU Prof Chen Xiaodong and his team, these ultrathin and stretchy electronics are forging new types of wearable technology. Useful in #healthcare applications, such sensors can empower individuals with limb disabilities or mobility impairments, enabling them to control prosthetics or robots, which are often used in the industry.
To produce prototypes rapidly, Prof Chen has established a new high-tech pilot laboratory, which aims to collaborate with industry partners to turn their ideas into actual devices for real-life deployment.
