I can't speak for other parts of the country, but there's loads here in Southern California. I'm working every day. Loads are not paying great, but im still making a profit. All these KZfaqrs are all doom and gloom. I'm glad Justin could sit around and wait around for great loads. But I can't sit here and wait for $4, $5 per mile loads. Keep your head up. Things will get better. 🙂 Also, Convoy was pretty big around SoCal. I hauled for them a lot. 😒

Some small trucking companies are shutting down cause brokers try to scam them outta $$$$. We have been thinking about just doing HotShot loads instead cause they pay really good. We had a driver in Michigan and the loads were very very cheap less $$$ just enough for gas and enough to pay the driver. Lucky he was able to do 7 loads in 14 hours to get to a good load and head home. He asked (Person) about switching to Hotshot loads. It's going to be talked about at the meeting with the driver's. And we told them no we are not shutting down. This business will be running for the rest of our lives and our kids are still going to be running it.

If it's anything with Amazons motive, it's to control everything from start to finish. They put a lot of mom and pop places out of business, whether it's outright or luring them in to sell their products on Amazon, which they have a clause if it sells X amount per year they can make their own Amazon basics version and sell it for a fraction of the cost....driving your sales down. Same with trucking. Years ago Amazon would pay very well for loads out of the Northeast area, they got everyone taking their loads and then they dropped the rates out of nowhere. Now you're stuck taking it for those rates because there's nothing else. I have a feeling if Amazon takes over more of a share it's gonna be bad for everyone.

There are a few more big brokers going out of business soon as per freight waves. Also single pumpers have duel float bowls, one for the primaries and one for the secondary’s. Double pumper refers to accelerator pumps.

Instead of a friend with a truck. Apparently Amazon wants to be your friend with a BIG truck. Usually friends don't charge you. I never charged a friend. But, Amazon will charge you out the ~~~~!

All Holley four barrel carburetors have two bowls. These are "double pumpers" because they have two accelerator pumps. Most Holley four barrel carbs do not have accelerator pumps on the secondary bowl. Only the racing/high performance models do. You can buy needle/seats separately with buying a rebuild kit.

You were talking about prices of fuel? It's not widely reported, and I do not want to sound like a conspiracy nut but look up any search engine and type in closed diesel refineries since 2019. Big Oil is producing 1.5 million less barrels per day than they were prior to 2019. That is why the prices are kept artificially high by closing refineries and making demand tighter than the supplies they are producing.

Not a conspiracy at all. Now. Ask yourself why those refineries closed? Because in 2019 we're exporting more oil than we imported, thus keeping prices down. This is what happens when you elect a liberal to the white House (forget the fact he is a mental milkshake) Elections have consequences, never forget that.

Yea man I work for Fedex Freight we been slow all this year usually our peak season from March to October but our boss told us the Freight volume are lower this years we had guys furlough for almost a whole year due to no work see what happens not looking good for our slow season hopefully pick up a little.

Convoys stupid brokers probably drove that company right into the ground. I remember when there was a problem with the shipper giving not being able to print out the bill of lading Convoy sat on their thumbs for hours and made me late to the delivery. That was the last load I ran for them because I was busy getting better rates elsewhere. Oh well I'll have to keep an eye at Richie Bros for some good deals on trailers.

It's funny that the "new" iphone 15 is just NOW getting tech that android has had for over 7 years. My favorite part of the new iphone 15 pro is the 3D camera on them but isn't paired with a 3D screen. In fact, the ONLY way you can view the pictures as they are taken is with the new apple headset for $3,500. ROFL, you can't make this stuff up. All the other problems is just further evidence that apple just doesn't care about their customers. You'd think that a company that has 166 million phones in the usa would be able to make better products. Oh well. Justin, I'd love to hear commentary for what you think truckers could do when the industry is having so many issues, meaning what kinds of jobs are the best to get into. As someone that gets most of his information on trucking from you, I'd love if you did more news stuff about trucking. No one that I know of is really doing that, other than one guy in canada, and that stuff really doesn't apply to the usa market.

I don’t know the trucking market. However, I think it’s a common problem other businesses have right now, too. Costs are off the chart. If they carry any debt, the interest rates are impossible. If you have a big operation combined with those costs, it becomes harder to operate. Think about your insurance rates, multiply that and the number is huge. Even if you self-insure, the costs are off the chart. Frankly, I also think the brokers caused all of this. They are the middlemen, making more money that the trucking companies and the independent truckers. They do virtually nothing, yet they make a lot of money. That’s a problem. It’s basically scavenger behavior, like hyenas. What the brokers don’t realize is that they are putting themselves out of business, too. Convoy had accounts that someone is going to have to service. The trick is going to being able to do so with lean overhead. Not easy in this economy. You are a hard working guy. You will come out of it ok. It won’t be easy, but you will make it. Katie and the boys are an awesome support system for you. You are an awesome family! Praying for you all!

Justin, gas was $2.36 at Walmart today. The lines were LONG😮😮😮. A little advice and said with ❤: please consider finishing the walls with some paint at the lake 🏡. First impressions when renters walk in are important and even though your place is Always spotless for their arrival, they might 😮at the first sight of the wall when they walk in ❤. Good idea adding the outside keypad 👍 to the garage. T-Mobile will take care of that phone number business, don't ya worry. Tiki needs a bit more loving now with the boys always reaching for Murphy first...Tiki 😘. That pup is as cute as a Bunny🐇. Fingers 🤞 and lots of Prays for Everyone living on the Giant Rock aka 🌎. Alright you just triggered me! I’m gonna ask did you just leave your fuel dispenser pumping as you went inside to get food? I’m sorry that is a pet leave of mine! I’m a fuel hauler and see so many people doing that. All it takes is one time where a safety measure doesn’t work appropriately to have a major issue. Be safe and have a good day!

I'm with a good company now for last few months been hauling less loads than I was bad thing is my company was dealing 95 % of the loads directly with the customer now made almost half the loads and some are preloaded on my company's trailer I have 25 years experience and last 17 years as a owner operator I was at my terminal in my Montgomery,AL and my dispatcher told me I might have to head home since they don't have any thing very little loads so I bobtail home to Phenix City,AL and I received a text from my dispatcher telling me might be next Monday me might be getting a load One problem with my company there's now more driver's than loads and they keep hiring drivers they should not be hiring when it's like this I guess because they bought a lot of new trucks have to put drivers in them

I been a truck driver for 25 years and last 17 years as a owner operator and the company I have my truck on with I have been noticing that been hauling less loads like more drivers than loads bad thing is most of the loads my company deals with the customer directly only 5% broker loads that what it should be now maybe half the loads be brokers bad thing the broker loads be on my company trailer that's preloaded I get where I don't take them very much since they don't pay much It the loads are directly from the customer the loads pay a lot almost $3 a mile and drop and hook most of the time I'm now in Montgomery,AL at my company's terminal next to the West Rock box plant my company hauls lots a loads from there be a preloaded trailer

Our Christian faith is built on a relationship. It is about friendship with God and his son, Jesus Christ. Sin is something we were born with, something as simple as lying or stealing or lusting. Do it once and you are guilty. So Jesus Christ did something so we can be reconciled with him. He gave his life so we could have a walking-talking relationship. As for Amazon, they are one of the forces pushing down revenues.

We are paying about twice as much for food fuel and energy compared to the Trump years the average person is barely hanging on so it's no wonder freight is slow. The only way it gets better is a change in the White House we can't afford 4 more years of these idiots.

As I keep saying the Brokers are destroying the owner operator truck Market they all need to be put out of business because they're all getting rich all the OTR drivers that deliver those loads or actually the ones who should be brokering the load they should be brokering their own loads as I said I said it before and I'll say it again you need to start doing like Gentry and Sons and other small trucking companies that go to broker their loads to the actual clients
