How to cook in a van? Living in a van is one thing. Living in a van during the winter is another. Surviving a blizzard in a van comes down to being prepared. In this video, I prepare and cook a meal in my 1991 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia campervan while an all out blizzard is coming down outside. It is fun pushing the limits in severe winter conditions when the wind is blowing, temperatures are below zero and the snow is falling down hard.

I sold my house about six months ago, and live between my boat and a small RV. I’m actually surprised at how much more I cook in my rig compared to what I did in my house... You’re absolutely right about the joy of cooking up some great food in an awesome spot. I’m pretty sure I saw your Westy in a parking lot recently. Too bad I didn’t see you so I could buy you a beer... Watching videos like yours helped give me the inspiration to begin living a freer, more mobile life.

To me it depends on how you like the vegetables. Especially for peppers, they take a long time to get soft and caramelized, so cooking them takes way longer than chicken (I always make it this way), but if you like them crunchy, then yes, it takes little to no time.

Virtuality Victoria while vinegar does kill some bacteria it’s not all types also it only contains about 5% of the acid that does this. It’s not strong enough. It’s better to use a soap or other cleaner. I use it for swimmers ear so I’ve done a good amount of research. Nothing sucks worse than food poisoning.

Looks delicious! We live in your van and dice things up nice and small, greatly reduces cooking time. Sweat those onions and garlic a bit before, till they're nice a transparent. Mmm wish I was eating that chicken lol. Great video, thanks for making me hungry!!😂😂😂

Ha ha. Gotta love auto correct. Ya know how sometimes you hear those horror stories where some crazy person was living in someone's attic and they never knew... I guess it's like that, by with his van. Lol

A thick meaty load 💦 under the cutting board is sticky so works honestly more then perfect. Don’t overdue it with a wet paper towel when u can use a natural product that we produce ourselves... I’ve been doing it since I was young it’s self sufficient

Always put your garlic in last so it doesn't burn it Cooks the fastest just a little tip for you

You cook the garlic first, just for a few seconds, then add the onions. The water in the onions IMMEDIATELY stops the garlic from burning.
