Today I’m cooking the most authentic food in Senegal with locals, on a remote island in the middle of Senegal’s sprawling Sine Saloum Delta. On today's menu is Yassa, one of Senegal's most famous dishes, made with fish caught locally in the delta.
This travel vlog follows me on my journey into the heart of Senegal in order to learn how to cook with the Serer ethnic group, one of Senegal’s major ethnic groups. Serers are found in 3 countries in West Africa and are predominantly located in Senegal, particularly in the Sine Saloum region. I'm excited to discover more about their way of life.
