Got myself a direct drive mini rolling mill as I am on a very very tight budget, yes, it takes a wee bit more strength, but overall a wonderful item, worth every penny. Wish I could afford an extra 150 pounds for a gear version, but perhaps someday later.

@@HugoJansons Never produced anything that'd require one hour of rolling. All depends on how tight you go with each roll, with mechanical it's better go by small reductions - then no problem, if I go for much bigger sometimes i'm not even able to budge it.

It's not something that we would recommend, the material you put through a rolling mill needs to be softer than the rolls themselves otherwise you'd risk damaging them

Hi Yuhsef, this is not a bad choice, these rolling mills tend to last forever. Every jeweller we've ever worked with has had the same rolling mill for 20+ years so it's definitely not a bad investment!

Hi Lara, interesting and instructional video spoiled only by the droning music. I really don't know why editors do this because it's downright rude. It's like trying to have a conversation with the tv blaring in the background. Super rollers, they look very well designed and well made. As you said, an investment for a lifetime.
