We have a 2006 Bayliner 325 and thankfully Mercruiser covered everything to be replaced, fuel rails, injectors, etc. Couldn’t believe they did it especially with us being 3rd owners of the boat 2 years ago! Although, next time I’d much rather buy your true replacement that fixes all their mistakes. 👌

Hey Jack, Great video helped me a lot but I still have two questions I hope you can answer. 1. What is the right way to reconnect the fuel pipe that goes from fuel housing (high pressure pump) and feeds the injectors? When I tried to reconnect it the screw that locks the pipe the screw didn't go all the way through and I had a fuel leak when starting the engine. 2. At the cover of the fuel pumps where the same screw from my first question that locks the fuel pipe there are two openings, the first opening is for the screw to go through and another opening. What is the purpose of the second opening? Thank you very much, Rafi

Great video. Check out the Outdoorsman Channel where I rebuild an older gen 3 fuel module. Now being used in fresh water. I found a major design issue with the tapered pin wedging the fuel rail pipe in place. Mercrusier redesigned the cross pin as a hemispherical shape. The unit has over 100 hours on it with no issues yet. Your video brings up some interesting things to think about, especially the cutaway. I am an unpaid associate of the Outdoorsman Channel. Hello Guys! Great video. Im having an issue with one of my pumps but I don’t know which one. After having the engine running for 30 min the pumps will stop sending pressure to the injectors rail and the engine will shut of slowly. I loose all the pressure measured with a gauge right in the rail(between 35-38 psi). When the engine cools of I will restart without any issues until 30min or so. This only happens in low rpms(around 1000). Any clue of what could be the problem?

Great and detailed video. I just had one that the pump failed. I'm going to pull it out tomorrow and replace the pump. Is there just one pump or is there a low and high pressure pump inside the housing. We have the older style housing. Is it worth tapping the holes for the water lines to have threaded ports?

Can you post a link to your remanufactured cool fuel 3s? Mine completely corroded on the seawater side.
