I love IKEA.....I mean LOVE love it! 😂 They really know how to design a small space and touring the showroom always gives me great ideas.
I thought it was time to take a field trip to the local store and check out some of the products/ideas that would work well in a tiny house.

My living space has always been small/medium (apartments, semi, small house and now trailer) and I have used IKEA products for my whole life, as do the other people I know who live in trailers/tiny homes/mobile homes. The Friheten sofa bed is very commonly utilized, but I strongly suggest a quality thin foldable mattress (also available at IKEA) to go on top for comfort and hygiene. You can store it underneath with the bedding in the storage compartment. The Norden (double gateleg table) is so useful and versatile that I have three in different rooms. Usually they sit in the half-open position for eating, cooking and doing crafts. When I need floor space they can fold to a few inches in width. A few times a year, when I am doing a large project (ie canning, pickling, sewing, quilting, other crafts) or have more than one visitor for meals (pre-covid times) that fully open option gave extra space that was perfect. The IVAR shelving is used as floor to ceiling storage walls with nice overlapping panel systems and fabric curtain panels (also available at IKEA) to have a functional decorative place for my craft materials.

Wow! Thanks for sharing. I have never been to an IKEA but I will now. My late husband and I lived in our motor home for the last 3.5 years of his life and we loved it. The storage space was great. Thanks again. Till next time. From Bakersfield California USA.

Thanks for the great tour! The bed section that pulls out of the sofa bed you looked at can also be detached and used as an ottoman or extra seating. I love IKEA, too. Can’t wait until they reopen in Ontario.

@@myBIGtinyhouselife Sadly no. She would not share her recipe. She was my dad's mom but my mother said she tried to get it from her but was not successful. Not even her own daughter had it. Too bad as we all loved it & it would have lived on long after she passed on. Other than that she was very loving. I have many happy memories of her. ❤️

Hi Adelina and Sophie! It was great to see IKEA furniture without having to go in the actual place! I feel like I need therapy after a morning in there! When a new store opened near me with some once in a lifetime special offers, there were fights over items and someone even got stabbed. Madness. Let's hope your branch is more civilised! Thank you ...this was fun. Ikea is 3 hrs away from me nowadays but used to just enjoy wandering thru EVERYTHING ...sometimes took a couple hrs then would eat in the cafe.💗

I really enjoyed this video! You gave me so many ideas. I have not been inside of a Ikea in years and it never occurred to me to go there. I love your videos and have gotten many ideas for my home. I have a 16 foot by 28 foot house and am starting to finish it out. Keep up the great work! Also your cat is beautiful. Mine passed earlier this year.

I LOVE IKEA too! Our tiny farmhouse is furnished mostly from IKEA; since we sold our house and all our furniture to full time RV, we needed inexpensive, small but good quality when we set up a home base again. Just wish we had one closer! 😉

Great video! Sadly left Calgary in october and theres no ikea in NL. They just have a delivery building in st. Johns.

They (Ikea) still make catalogues (go to website to request one) I believe. Lots of helpful pictures but of course kind of hard to imagine some situations without seeing in person.

That was a very interesting video but the best part is Sophie trying to get out at 21:06 🤣🤣🤣 So, even if it's obviously not catproof, what kind of mosquito net did you install for your door ? I can't find a good one but we know it's nice to have an open door in a tiny house :)

I always wonder about the storage beds. In a house prone to moisture, would the stored items get mouldy?

Hi. New subie. I like your style. Question- I live in Winnipeg, MB, single mum with a teenager daughter. I was considering my options - buy a condo or tiny house. I am afraid it’s difficult to find a spot for tiny house in MB, for some reason trailer and tiny houses are not necessarily welcomed in a city landscape, even outside the city there is not much places and they usually are taken. So - would you be able to make a separate video about it. I am sure you have some extended knowledge about it. Thank you.
